  1. Don't swing at anything. He can't find the strike zone, please.
  2. Well, he did something positive for a change. Way to go Aramis. The bases are clogged. If the Cubs can't do jack on this one, they don't deserve to win, period.
  3. Eh, the way Aramis has been swinging the bat, more often it will ground into a infielder. It's a poor idea - it's been 2.5 bad games (including 2 deep flyouts in game 1). That's not a long time. Not like it matters, Livan has been pitching Floyd very carefully anyways. We'll see. I'd rather take the righty/righty matchup instead of a lefty/righty.
  4. DOUBLE PLAY ALERT! DOUBLE PLAY ALERT! *RINGING BELL, BLOWING WHISTLE*
  5. Eh, the way Aramis has been swinging the bat, more often it will ground into a infielder.
  6. Might as well. The Cubs seems to be enjoying grounding into double plays alot these days.
  7. Had TheRiot stayed at first, that would had been a double play.
  8. Riot steals 2nd. Takes out the 'Natural Grounding into Double Play" for now.
  9. Even that, the 2-3-4 haven't done diddly squat. I don't see how today is gonna be any different. Theroit walks. Now watch the "All-Natural Grounding Into Double Play."
  10. I knew that one was coming from that foul ball.
  11. I know. I wanted him to score, but I wasn't sure if he'd made it, even w/o the RF botching it.
  12. And he naturally hits into a double play. Go figure.
  13. Naturally, he swings at a crap pitch. Now he'll watch strike 3 right in the middle, w/o lifting his bat off his shoulder.
  14. NOW QUIT FOOLING AROUND AND GET SOME RUNS!
  15. Starting Kendall over Soto in game 3, whereas Soto is one of the Cub players who is actually producing.
  16. I don't do much throwing stuff, but I sure do comment to the TV in a very negative fashion. For instance, when a Cub hit a GIDP, I go along the lines like "Great, just ground the damn ball into a double play, will you?" And when Soriano was striking out, I commented something like "Jesus, my sister can swing better than that." And when Aramis got owned, I said "Well, that's what you get for facing a guy who can throw 96 mph gas right by people. Of course, No one had more BBs than K's, so they're afraid to take a walk." Is it me or are the Cubs having trouble seeing the ball break towards the dirt? I mean, the freaking ball would be on the dirt, way before it crossed home plate, and they're swinging at it! What the hell? Where the hell is the plate discipline at? Then another Cub hit into a GIDP, I said "Naturally." It's just frusterating. I expected better than this Mickey Mouse garbage.
  17. Awesome. Let's bench our productive player, and continue to keep playing the guys who aren't being productive. Sheer genius!
  18. Man, K-Rod just got JACKED UP by Manny.
  19. The blog says he was drinking with other members of the WGN staff. Remember that they didn't criticize him for drinking, but being a spokesman for diabetes who has had health problems and still drinks. I think those people needs to get a grip and move on. Santo can do whatever the heck he pleases to do with his life. I don't see anywhere where it says "Santo caught drinking, drunk on scene." Again, that has nothing to do with the point I am making And that's fine. I'm just saying what Ty Cobb probably would said it best. "I actually don't give a (expletive)". You know how it goes, I'd reckon.

  21. I dream that there is actually a damned decent Cub team that won't swing on crappy pitches, and a damned decent Cub team that knows how to pitch like a major leaguer.
