  1. All of this is Lou's fault. Bases are loaded, one out, all you need is Fox to show his manly Warning Track Power, and I would be already in bed! But nooooooooooo! We got FONTICANT!
  2. Perhaps the Cubs should try to ask the Royals to see what would it take to give up Teahen.....
  3. Are you freaking kidding me? Fonticant?
  4. Okay..... anything goes now.....
  5. And of course, they are gonna IBB him to create a DP situation.
  6. Well, at least the good news is that Bradley stealing 2nd takes away the DP. Come on, basehit please....
  7. All right. I got a simple request now, Cubs. End this damn thing, so I can go get some sleep!
  8. Now's a good time to go Nuclear on them, Aramis....
  9. This is my reaction to Lou's epic fail of not PH'ing Zambrano with Fox, then replacing Zambrano with Heilman.
  10. lmao. Of course, 2 outs, and Baker gets a double. Typical.
  11. Aight, somebody get on base, please.
  12. Okay, an A-Bomb would be great right here.
  13. FWIW, Teahen only played 3 games at 2nd base, all of this were this year. I would have no clue as if he would be an improvement over Fonticant, but his bat is deftinaly an improvement over Fonticant. Actually, it would be wise, IMHO, if the Cubs can do this move, that is to get Teahen to play 2nd. 2009 Teahen - .293/.348/.443/.792 110OPS+ 2009 Fonticant - .231/.302/.374/.675 74OPS+ Another positive is that Teahen is only 27, while Fonticant is 29. Teahen also can hit lefties, unlike Fonticant.
  14. Not sure if this has been posted, but if has, deal with it. http://www.mlive.com/tigers/index.ssf/2009/07/tigers_manager_jim_leyland_sho.html
  15. It actually did happen.
  16. Take it for what's it's worth, but no shoulder tear was found. http://vyous.com/sports/mlb/thecubs/2009/07/26/no-shoulder-tear-for-chicago-cubs39-ted-lilly---chicago-tribune
  17. Well, from the sounds of it, there is some hope in the minors, in terms of talent....
  18. Yeah, you can safely say that. Pitch drunk on the kool aid, fo sure. But it's fun (to me, it is) because yesterday, when the Cubs were ½ game out, I publicly said to him "½ game out behind you clowns. Enjoy the lead while you still can." That got everybody laughing except of him, of course, and he hasn't said a word for quite some time now.
  19. Damn straight. That's how I feel as well.
