FWIW, Teahen only played 3 games at 2nd base, all of this were this year. I would have no clue as if he would be an improvement over Fonticant, but his bat is deftinaly an improvement over Fonticant. Actually, it would be wise, IMHO, if the Cubs can do this move, that is to get Teahen to play 2nd. 2009 Teahen - .293/.348/.443/.792 110OPS+ 2009 Fonticant - .231/.302/.374/.675 74OPS+ Another positive is that Teahen is only 27, while Fonticant is 29. Teahen also can hit lefties, unlike Fonticant.
