  1. At least the Bears did something right, getting on the LOS quick enough to get the play off before the booth review came into play. Wow Peterson.
  2. God, the NFL really needs to drop whatever crap they are holding against the Bears and start calling a fair game. Bears think they're getting it that bad? Try being a Chief fan. We always get the shaft most of the time, especially when it comes to holding penalties.
  3. Wow. How did Hester didn't go down from the initial hit, we'll never know. Of course, he's lucky he didn't fumble it, or ran backwards like Dante Hall.
  4. It was a booth review... Yes, I know, but there wasn't anything to review anyways, since the player re-established anyways.
  5. False Start/Illegal formation!
  6. Nice punt and coverage. This game could end with a safety.
  7. The problem with the pitching staff the Royals had last year was the worst. Obviously, they have to improve it somehow by giving it a complete makeover. I think that's the only way it's going to improve. Runelvys Hernandez has good stuff, but his issue is his motivation, which would be keeping himself in shape. IIRC, he showed up way too heavy last year's spring training, and the Royals sent him down to Omaha prior to that time. The way Sisco talked he didn't want to go to the Mexican League this winter... the pitching staff is definitely going to look different this season. Then again that's probably a good thing, it can't get any worse Royals fans hope.
  8. Well, how about we give him number 60, in reference to his ERA. *shrug*
  9. Rob and Rany didn't like the trade for the Royals, imagine that, but Rany did pass along an email he received a couple weeks ago. Now, I had no way of verifying this email, but it certainly was completely in character for Sisco, who has immense talent but whose work habits are, shall we say, questionable. I showed the story to Bob Dutton, one of the columnists in KC Star, who couldn't get anyone to confirm the story. On the other hand, Sisco hasn't pitched down in Mexico since I received the email, so you do the math.
  10. They've got a heck of a team this year. Good luck to ya laddie! Thank you. Cuse looks pretty good, I was just amazed that WSU somehow escaped Syracuse with a win, despite the last half near-meltdown by the Shockers. At any rate, here's a note to Billy Packer and Jimmy Williams. Get lost. MVC isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
  11. Go Wichita State Shockers and Missouri Valley Conference!!!
  12. Nice work my friend. Nice work. *Pats on the back of your shoulder*
  13. Heh, my thoughts as well. I'd probaby go "Do you know what is a OBP? How about a WHIP? Or how about OPS? Then go on to explain the OBP. In baseball statistics, on base percentage (OBP) (sometimes referred to as on base average [OBA], as the statistic is rarely presented as a true percentage) is a measure of how often a batter reaches base for any reason other than a fielding error, fielder's choice, fielder's obstruction, or catcher's interference (the latter two are ignored as either times-on-base [TOB] or plate appearances in calculating OBP). OBP is added to slugging average to determine on-base plus slugging (OPS). Yeah, that should get me the job.
  14. Hmm... interesting that he'd want to retire at 35. I would figured, him being in the AL, that he can extend his career longer by playing the DH position, which would save some wear and tear of his body.
  15. All I'm going to say is stay away from Sweeney as possible.
  16. As most of us remember, Sisco had issues with his weight and attitude at one point as a Cub, didn't he?
  17. Hmm.... wonder if his next contract will have a clause that he can't touch a guitar, or he'll lose his money. *shrug*
  18. That's pretty awesome, right?
  19. Looks like the KC Metro area will be getting the Bears game, since the Chiefs are on Sunday Night.
  20. Go K-State! Let's chop down some wood! :D
  21. Well, where do I fax my resume?
  22. Heh, at least I can understand him better than Mike Irvin.
