  1. Wow, KU totally dominated their opponent.
  2. Walked him. Dang. At least it's better than giving up a solo-shot. It is Jim Thome, after all.
  3. Ball 3 was pretty questionable though THATS A TIE! Questionable or not, I'll take it.
  4. Oh, many. Many, many, many less likable teams. Need I mention J.J. Redick? Or - even worse - Laettner? Bobby Hurly?
  5. Down goes Duke! Down goes Duke!
  6. Heh, I still remember about Dempster joking it up at Busch Stadium where he was joking at the Cardinals fans, along with Buck and McCarver.
  7. Awesome to hear that Dempster is helping out. I'm sure most of the guys in the clubhouse is contributing as well.
  8. Hmm... no MRI eh? I would figure the Royals would want one of their top prospect to be on the safe side and get a MRI. Hey, better safe than sorry, eh?
  9. Yeah, but I also think that the Royals would be more than glad to get anything just to move him. Even that, like I said, if somehow he stays healthy, and I believe he has one year left on his current contract (I could be wrong) that team who gets the rights of Mike Sweeney, won't be locked on the contract like forever, you know? There was several times where, IIRC, the Angels were looking for a hitter at one point, before Sweeney got hurt. And other than Vlad, their offense is, putting it nicely, "questionable" at best.
  10. Ryan Shealy will probably be getting most of the playing time at 1b. You are correct. More than likely that Gordon will be the 3rd baseman come opening day, as Teahen will be in the outfield. Shealy will be the first baseman, as Mike Sweeney will be on the DH. But picking up Ross Gload helps, especially the Sweeney situation. Sweeney says that he's pretty healthy, but the Royals have heard that before, and they aren't taking any chances. Most Royal fans are hoping that Sweeney at least stay healthy, and put up respective numbers that he can finally be moved to some team that needs a bat, as the Royals can use some minor leaguers in return.
  11. I wonder if someone said "NUTS!" *From a military commander during WWII*
  12. Barrett is one tough dude.
  13. *Blows the Dust off of this thread* Well, it is Spring Training for the 2007 Baseball Season. I figured I would bring this thing back up, and perhaps that maybe there may be some new members in this board that may have some questions that could be answered.
  14. That's all I need to hear. It just sounds like he's just happy to be given another chance to pitch after going through 2 rough years.
  15. EYRE SUPPLY= GENIUS!!!! Carlos Marmol= Carmol Alfonso Soriano= Fozie Bear http://photos.friendster.com/photos/63/27/20497236/14426001223941m.jpg
  16. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/2007/03/02/XUk25jaF.jpg He looks like a hardcore criminal.
  17. What worries me is when he does hit the FA Market, and gets possibly more money than Zito got, then I'm worried about what Zambrano might ask for....
  18. Muskogee Phoenix. Oklahoma, holla. Huh, cool. I been to Muskogee one time, where a buddy of mine went to one of those OSU school there.
  19. It's mostly the minor leaguers who are struggling here. Hope so, but last time I checked, Ohman isn't a minor leaguer.
