  1. looks like hill really bounced back with his pitch count
  2. didn't realize murton has no homeruns and only 2 rbi. obviously his ab's haven't been a lot, but still...
  3. this is newsworthy. You people are following the Cardinals game and talking about how they seem to not have their heads in the game, so if you think ESPN showing the game and talking about Hancock is pathetic, then you should probably stop talking about it too. But if you're interested in this game, don't you think other people are too? I guess the major news networks shouldn't have covered 9/11, Katrina and the tsunami so thoroughly... after all, people died and they were making ratings money off those people. c'mon truffle. i know you aren't comparing those events to the cardinals game. and i am neither watching nor following it at all, rather am at work and merely discussing it on a message board. imho, espn could probably make a point of these things during baseball tonight or sportscenter.
  4. its too bad espn has this game on because now the entire country has to watch them...plus, then they get espn running it into the ground and talkin about it over and over I'm watching them on Fox's Missouri channel, which is only because it's baseball, and..it's the only baseball on TV. I agree, Cardinals should not be on ESPN tonight. No way. right if i were at school id def have FSN midwest on...not that it matters cuz i have it muted but i just dont think espn should have this wasn't this game scheduled to be on ESPN since the beginning of the year? If so, it's silly to blame ESPN for airing it. you know they could have covered a different game. it's espn, they can do anything.

The local fans will want to watch the game regardless, but why the hell would ESPN pick this/stay with this for a national broadcast? I don't know if I'm being anal or what, but it seems really unclassy to me. And zooming in on Spezio and dissecting his attitude while he's obviously in emotional pain? Come on. you aren't being anal. it is def unclassy. they make money off this crap and it's disgusting.
  6. man alive, ramirez and lee are good! if only soriano would come around we'd be tough to beat.
  7. that's tough. i started to think that it's good the bullpen had a day off yesterday, then remembered why. :(
  8. lee double, ramirez single... i guess lee's double was about three feet away from a homer.
  9. what'd he do? pull a hammy/groin running or something?
  10. didn't someone say a day or two back that lee was on pace for something like 72 doubles this year?
  11. they had better get to duke tonight... and early
  12. it'd be real nice to see soriano at least partly live up to the cash. can we get a homerun?
  13. think the lions will ever stop drafting wide recievers?
  14. it had to happen. they were in too many, far too many close game like this. this was a good, well deserved win. hopefully it will vault them towards better confidence in games like this.
  15. duncan v dempster strike outside corner 0-1, in the dirt, barrett in front of it. 1-1, duncan checks, i guess, ball 2-1, defensive indifference eckstein at second, oh man, right on the corner, the umps are doing this on purpose 3-1, strike, great pitch. 3-2, fly to left soriano catches it COBS WIN COBS WIN!!!!
  16. eckstein v dempster ball 1-0, strike 1-1 ground out that's oooooohhhh force at second, eckstein safe at first, not really close either
  17. spiezio v dumpster outside taking 1-0, outside again 2-0, swinging wiffer sniffer 2-1, up high taken 3-1, popped up, barrett behind the plate, behind the screen, regular strike 3-2, camera angle on replay was pretty sweet, yet creepy. pitch fouled at the plate 3-2 still, oh shoot pulled foul!!! omg. that was slightly intense. dramatic pseudo-strike 3-2 still, that red thing looks dumb, called strike three! wowsers one down
