The Bears acquired quarterback Jay Cutler today for No. 1 draft picks in 2009 and 2010, a No. 3 pick this year and Kyle Orton, the Sun-Times has learned. The Bears receive the Broncos' fifth-round draft pick this year. Cutler, 25, is coming off a Pro Bowl season with the Broncos, but he became disgruntled and wanted a trade after learning Denver was considering a deal for quarterback Matt Cassel. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/bears/1508720,bears-cutler-040209.article

How great is UNC if you take away Dean Smith? How great is Duke if you take out Coach K? How great is Kentucky if you take out Coach Rupp? How great is UCLA without Wooden? How good is Kansas without cheating?(sorry, had to put that in there) Did you read my post beyond the first sentence, or were you that anxious to make the dig on Kansas? I think it is highly disingenuous to pretend Indiana lacks tradition in basketball outside of Bob Knight. I think illiniguy makes the point rather concisely regardless of his dig on Kansas. The problem with IU was that the departure of Knight was a nasty divorce rather than a clean transfer of power and even that did not stop us from making yet another Final Four after RMK was gone. But between Davis and Sampson we set ourselves back roughly a decade overall so........don't enjoy it too much Crean is rapidly fixing things up.

I don't think the Marquette kid got fouled on that final 3 point attempt. The defender was moving sideways and the Marquette player tried to jump into him and tripped himself. At least that is how it looked to me. Good no call.

Me too. I don't care though, I'd rather see big upsets. It isn't like I am ever going to win a bracket contest. :-))

It would be rather humorous if Arizona ends up being the only Pac 10 team to advance to the Sweet 16. The team nobody wanted in the tournament....and for good reason. But at least they are making the most of the opportunity.

Hey you know being a #1 seed earns you that home court edge.........wait Nova is a 3 seed? Nevermind. lol I really don't care for the increased regionalization they put into the brackets the last few years. It is pretty sad when even a #8 seed gets to play close to home (Ohio State)...I think that privilege should be reserved for the top 4 teams.
