    I've posted on this site drunk before, but my life isn't interesting enough to drunkenly rant about. No surprise I'm getting killed - can't compete with hilarity. A sugar high from cream soda doesn't count. :)

    Indeed. Tonight was a great night for Sammy to strike out three times in lieu of hitting #600. Plus, we all know it's going to be a meaningless HR anyway... Tonight I was extremely ambivalent. I wanted to see him hit 600, but each time he came to the plate, a homerun would have been a game changing hit. Of course, at one point I felt if the game went long enough, Kinsler might hit his 600th.

    Please, no Kendall. What little skills he had have quickly diminished. I'd rather go with Soto and Blanco in 2008 than to be saddled with Kendall. I agree that Barrett is likely gone after the season. But if the choice is Barrett or Kendall, I'll take Barrett every day of the week and twice on Sundays and holidays.

    If he appeals is he guaranteed to have a max of five games. I don't recall any instance in which an appeal upped the suspension. Me either. It would be completely without precedent for MLB to up the suspension to retaliate for a player filing an appeal.

    I have no grudge against Sammy, but I really don't want to see him hit it against the Cubs. I guess if the Cubs are blowing the Rangers out then I it wouldn't bother me. But, that seems unlikely with this team. Vance, Where are your seats? Sec 218 tonight, 233 on Wed, and row 2 of 15 on Thurs.
