While I would love to get Oswalt, he won't come cheap. He's signed through 2011 with a club option for 2012. My guess is that the Astros have no interest in trading him. Drayton McClain loves him like a son. Here is his salaries for those seasons: 08:$13M, 09:$14M, 10:$15M, 11:$16M. That's very reasonable for a pitcher of his caliber. My guess is that teams would be lining up to get him. It would cost some of the very best we have. One of Hill or Marshall, then add one of Veal or Gallagher, then add Cedeno, and a couple more prospects and I'm still not sure it would be enough. I was reading a similar thread, and some Braves fans were willing to part with Salty, Escobar, and Harrison or Reyes for him. We couldn't match that package if we tried. All that being said, he would be a great acquisition. Today's start notwithstanding, Oswalt is a legitimate ace.
