    If they can't be contacted, I vote we find their replacements. Yeah, I think we have to consider this. How long do we give them? And who would we ask to take their teams? August 1 sounds like a good date to me. That gives us a full month or so to draft. As far as who replaces them, we can always just post a thread in the General Fantasy Sports section asking for a replacement or two. August 1 until we start looking for a replacement, or do we start drafting August 1? If we need to find someone else I think we could afford to be a little selective about it. What say everyone? And get your keepers in, Tobias, ChiCubs, and Vance. I say Aug 1 until we look for a replacement. The first game isn't until the first week of september, right? So then maybe by the end of the first week of Aug we could start the draft (assuming we can find someone quickly). Is that going to be cutting it tight? That's less than half as much time as it took us last year. I don't think we set time limits last year though.

    Flying is out of the question. I found a $250 flight out of Dallas to get there...but then I'd still have to drive to Dallas. So, if I'm going it's via the automobile. On the bright side, she hasn't said no. She rolled her eyes a couple of times...but hasn't said no.

    I checked...prices were still over $300 for a round-trip. I may drive it. The wife and I will have to have a "discussion." How do you normally get to Chicago? 2000 miles? Is that combined with your various trips each year - non stop? Or does it include connections? Yes, that's not just my trip to Chicago, but includes trips to Atlanta, Houston, St.Louis or wherever.

    I may have a copy of the essay. I didn't like it. I edited it three times because I was limited to 100 words. The first draft was 215. After editing it down to 135, I thought it was close enough, but you couldn't submit it unless it was 100 words or less...so more editing. I thought it was crap. And no, it doesn't appear anyone else can take my spot. I have to bring a photo id with a copy of the email...unless someone looks enough like me to use my id. This was my essay... I had much more elaboration, but 100 words greatly limits one in trying to expound and provide support for an argument.

    I hate for anyone to be injured. This is going to be a blow to the Cardinals not only for the remainder of this year, but next year as well.

    Don't congratulate me just yet. I have a feeling bunches were selected as they are holding auditions over two days. Second, the chances of the wife letting me make the trip all the way from Louisiana don't look good.

Somebody said that Bonds was 0-5 against Ohman coming into that AB which lead to my statement. As for the card, I'll have to pass, vance. You can give it to somebody else or put it back into the options. And just take me out of the running altogether - picking up baseball cards just isn't my thing. It goes back into it. I'm not going to re-draw winners. My guess, is a lot of people will pass which helps me in having enough in case this team runs off a whole bunch of wins. You might win again....whatever the random sequence says becomes the winning post.
