  1. is part of the "prize" for this a chance to chat with Len and Bob on the air after you sing? That part isn't mentioned, so I don't know.
  2. That's awesome. If there is a link to a video of the interview, I expect it to appear here immediately. Also, I was voting for a while today and determined that I was able to get in approx 9 or 10 votes per minute, and did so before the game in a few different bunches of 6 or 7 minutes. However, during the later part of the game, the popup window kept taking longer to load, with a noticeable delay in "waiting for mlb.cubs.fanforum" or whatever the exact name is. I was only able to vote about 6 or 7 times a minute and continued to do so, but then I realized that every time I voted, the count would increase by about 10 or 15. Between every single vote. It held this rate for quite a while, and if soccer's reports about there being less than 4,000 votes on yesterday's poll with only a couple hours of middle-of-the-night voting time left, I'm pretty sure that means that of the nearly 17,000 votes that have been cast so far today, I bet more than 14K are yours. I'd estimate that somewhere around 5 or 6 hundred came from me. I also voted for Elinore about 30 times. Sorry Vance. There's no video link to the interview...but they may have audio up in their archives. It's usually late getting there...but I'll check when I have a chance.
  3. Well, it slowed and now there's like 15 new votes every 30 seconds or so. I was wondering how much of that might be for me or if there are others getting such support.
  4. Are you guys still voting? Because I voted...then tried again and like 16 new votes had been cast. I was wondering if those are from you all or is there some serious late night voting from somewhere else?
  5. Oh BTW, my wife logged on today and saw this thread. She was very amused by the video.
  6. I'm not blaming Perry for the lack of power, but what I've noted is the Cubs are taking a lot of pitches for strikes. Don't mistake me. I've always wanted patient hitters, and I prefer patience to over aggressiveness...but I'm wondering if some of our hitters may be having trouble adjusting to the new approach.
  7. Looks like the guys at Desipio started an anti-Vance campaign.
  8. So even if we vote him in, the Cubs could decide to pick somebody else? According to the rules, that is correct. Hopefully that's only if they feel there is a problem with one of the contestants, but the rules state that voting is only a part of the process. The way I look at it, winning the vote can't do anything but help. While it isn't a guarantee....it is a big help. Thanks guys!
  9. Pathetic. How we don't break through against Williams is beyond me. I'm not happy... :x
  10. Thanks guys. This is great. Considering I've been away from the computer all day, I owe this to you guys.
  11. Oh...and I did give a short pimp to NSBB when I mentioned spending a lot my time online reading about the Cubs.
  12. Is that the one with Sean Fox. I went to LA Tech with him. Their show is horrible, but it's still cool you got on there. Yeah that's the one. I like the show because it helps me with the local sports scene.
  13. If someone from the Cubs sees that video, I think a restraining order will be put out on ol' Vance. After today, I could add pics of me and my nephew with Fontenot, Theriot, Wood, Dempster, and Eric Patterson.
  14. Thanks guys. The coolest thing happened today. As I was entering the stadium to go to the game tonight, my cell phone rang. It was the producer for Fox and Company which is the local sports show on the ESPN radio station in Northeast Louisiana. Anyway, they wanted to talk to me about this on the air, so I did a little ten minute interview in which we told their listeners how to vote and all. It was pretty cool.
  15. Well, I'm off for awhile. Thanks for the votes and keep them coming!
  16. I think everyone knows which option I'd prefer.
  17. Thanks, wolfie!
  18. The whole offense looked so anemic last night. It was sad.
  19. Once again....many thanks to all.
  20. I don't know what happened. I sent an email to the address where I received my confirmation asking had I been disqualified or moved to another day. Then, about 30 mins later...voila...I'm back!
