    While it sounds nice and well-thought out, I really don't see the need for it. It could be a fun idea, but I think it also has potential to be divisive. It would probably do more harm than the fun or honor it would provide for others.

Vance, what's the Cubs' record with you in attendance so far this year? 3- 10 for this year. :( Obviously we need to stop you from attending all future games this year. I'm probably done for the year. This year has been the worst by far. The past 2-3 years, I've been right around 500.

    This is team is so frustrating. They can't score to save a life in Houston and now in four innings, they put up a 10-spot.

    Yeah. We might have to revoke your title if you keep this up, bud. Trust me. No one has been more pissed at the Cubs' effort (or lack of it) when I've attended games this year than I have.

    Vance, would it be too much of an imposition to ask you to skip the game and go to Treasures instead? You're bad ju-ju, man. Well, I was 1-1 in Atlanta to start the year and then hit a skid in Chicago going 0-3. In Texas, I was 1-2, 1-1 in St. Louis this year. So far 0-2 in Houston. I surely hope it's not me though.

    So far the Cubs have royalled screwed up my trip. Stop, immediately and send me home on a happy note.

    If my pick comes up today, it's going to be 4PM or later on Thursday before I can pick. Don't worry...I'll be around sometime then to pick. But I'm in Houston now and going to the game. Then I'm driving 5+ hours home in the middle of the night, sleeping 3-4 hours, waking up and having my first day of teacher-inservice. Please wait until I can make my pick.

    Derrek Lee in particular has been watching pitches right down the middle. Work in progress. When you have been told to swing at everything for four years it takes a while to adjust to a philosophy of "wait for something good to hit". and that's my point. I don't think Perry really wants the hitters to let good pitches go by, but they may not have the skills or at least haven't learned enough pitch recognition to make Perry's philosophy work really well. For the most part, our hitters are much more patient it seems than last season. On the other hand, often they end up 1-2 or 0-2 after looking at some really hittable pitches...and often this occurs in times where we need a hit or at least good contact.

    wow, 26,000 compared to 3,800 yesterday. Can't really imagine a grass roots voting movement to get Elinore through Well, I know that Elinore was supported by Fark.com and Desipio...so it depends if we went more nuts than they did.
