  1. Two quick outs. One more and then let's get some runs!
  2. 40 pitches for Sheets. He's not going to last long at this rate.
  3. Kendall is working Sheets. That's good even if he gets out here.
  4. Crap! Crap! Crap! Ok, Z, just get the hitter now.
  5. I hope Zambrano can keep this up for six or seven more innings.
  6. Ugh. Well at least we worked Sheets a little that inning. He's thrown 21 pitches.
  7. I'd love for the Smokies to play the Braves in the playoffs so I could see the Smokies a few more times...but there's no way this Braves team will get past Montogomery in the first round.
  8. Brennamen isn't the AZ announcer anymore. That would be Darren Sutton, who has neither his father's ability to throw a baseball or commentate on it. Thom and Grace were bad; Sutton and Grace make my ears bleed.
  9. I make it a point never to read through old game threads. If I'm not posting in them, you can bet I didn't read it. If I'm watching the game in my office and have the computer there, I'll make posts and keep up with the thread. Also, if I'm at a computer yet unable to watch the game, I'll follow the game threads. But if I'm watching elsewhere or miss the game altogether, I never go back and read through the game threads. I always figure there's not much worthwhile there.
  10. See, that's a hat I could go for. But that Astros star makes me ill.
  11. Well, thanks the suckage of Woody Williams et al, the Cardinals have climbed within two games. So while we're all watching Zambrano and the Cubs take on Ben Sheets and the Brewers, the Cardinals will be looking for a Herculean effort by Kip Wells (6-14, 5.41 ERA) versus the Astros Roy Oswalt (13-6, 3.33 ERA). This is Oswalt's first start after returning from a strained oblique. The Astros should be excited as it's Milo's blue star hat night for the first 10,000 fans. Wouldn't you want one of these? http://houston.astros.mlb.com/hou/images/promos/y2007/0829_bluestarhat.gif So, let's hope the Astros forget how badly they suck and that Kip Wells remembers how much he sucks for one night. Ugh...Go 'stros. (ok, I threw up a bit in my mouth.)
