    Personally, I'd be furious that the Cubs left a starter in all year long that couldn't provide better numbers than that. I don't care if they have to promote Veal or Gallagher to make it happen. 5.40 ERA/1.60 WHIP is for AAA, not the major leagues. I'd be livid that the pitcher with the 5.40 ERA/1.60 WHIP wasn't DFA'd. Those are pathetic numbers regardless of the run support and "keeping his team in games" nonsense that would be spewed. Man, when you become so (for lack of a better term) angry? It seems like every post from you is just filled with ire. If we have a 20 game winner, livid would probably be the last emotion used to describe my feelings towards him. i'd be blissfully happy with our offense. but i'd be mad at the pitcher, and hope to god that he isn't given a contract extension. actually, i'd hope we'd trade him in the offseason. Agreed. I'm pretty sure we could find at least a couple guys in the minor leagues who could pitch better than a 5.40 ERA/1.60 WHIP. I just think it's funny people are ready to rip each other's throats out because we're off to a bad start. The Cubs definitely aren't the lovable losers anymore.

    Yikes. I thought our offense was bad so far this year. Cards as a team are hitting .223 with a .276 OBP.

    Pie with a 1.272 OPS so far this year. I know it's early, but he's definitely on fire right now.

    I was watching the Orioles the other night. Corey still has big problems with that fastball in his eyes. The Twins' pitcher got him out a couple times with that pitch. His swing is shorter though. Still a little loopy.

    That's the 2nd day in a row someone has been right about that. It's hard not to be right when the team hits into a DP every other inning.

    Gameday said it was a wild pitch. It was but it was right infront of Barrett he turned the wrong way and let it skip away. TERRIBLE move--it hit his glove Barrett is the worst defensive catcher in the league. Y'know, even if that were true, and its not, his offense still outweighs it. It is true. Im tired of hearing about "his offense outweighs his mistakes behind the plate." Hell, I rather have Blanco starting behind the plate each game because I know he wont be dropping off-speed pitches, I know he will block pitches in the dirt, and I know he will call a really solid game behind the plate. Barrett is garbage behind the plate. He is better served as a DH in the AL than he is a catcher in the NL. HAHA.
