  1. Murton and Jones throw like little leaguers.
  2. That was an 87mph, straight-as-an-arrow, fastball that was on the inner half of the plate and belt-high.
  3. Jones with a leadoff basehit. And here comes the black hole...
  4. He pitched 2 innings yesterday. He wouldn't have been available today anyway.
  5. We better run at-will today against Maddux.
  6. Anyone think Pie threw up before the game? I know I would.
  7. What? He pitches lights out yesterday and then gets demoted? WTF?
  8. I like how he made the comment that Laroche looked like a dead fish in the batter's box and said something like, "at least look like you want to get out of this slump." Next pitch was a homerun.
  9. Wainwright is getting lit up by the Pirates. It's 5-0 Pirates in the 3rd inning.
  10. ???? who is he and source ugh....it was a comparison. good job connecting it. sorry dunno who he is CF for the Detroit Tigers.
  11. Day game after a night game. I don't have a problem with Blanco catching. It just sucks that the bottom of the lineup looks like a black hole.
  12. Welcome to the forum!! He has been called up. Check out this thread: http://www.northsidebaseball.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=39970
  13. The way Piniella presented it to Soriano was as an option, not a demand. It wasn't like he said "You're going to LF." and Soriano told him to stick it. It was "Will moving to LF help your hitting with not having so much to worry about?" and he said he was fine, that CF wasn't a distraction. I don't think this is an issue. What happens when Soriano gets back and Pie stays on board though? I wonder is Pie will be our starting CF and if so will Sori be in RF or LF? With Murton playing RF yesterday, I'd expect Soriano to move back to LF. Also, he's played a year there, so he's comfortable in LF. I doubt they'd move him to RF. I'd be surprised if Soriano moved to LF this year. They'd basically be shutting off Floyd from ever starting the rest of the year, and I don't think the team would be ready to do that. Floyd has played 79 games in RF before. Not since 2002 though.
  14. ESPN 1000 just reported Soriano has had his MRI and Soriano himself said that the MRI showed there wasn't a tear.
