    I'm glad Miles will be out of the lineup, but it's not like Blanco is a stud with the bat either. This team is lame.

    We're playing some BAD baseball right now. This is ridiculous. We're 2nd to last in runs scored in the National League. The Padres have scored 12 runs less than we have. The offense is pathetic.

    I don't think he has ever said one good thing about the Cubs. He only posts when the Cubs scuffle or slump. He always talks about how bad the Cubs are and throws some fat Hendry jokes in there, too. His act is ridiculous and it's just flat-out trolling. I don't care what he does. You don't tell other posters to shut up, got it ?? Then why dont you or another mod? His act is the same everytime he posts yet you guys dont say squat to him, and jump on us when we do. I agree, if I hadn't said anything, what would have been done? Nothing. If I have to take a board warning or a day suspension for this, so be it. I am tired of his trolling and nothing being done about it. You're not going to be suspended for speaking your mind. You're not doing anything wrong. There is an ignore feature though. If you don't like what another poster has to say, just make them a foe.

    LOL. Seriously, I would bet there are quite a few NSBB'ers who would have a better chance at getting a hit than Soriano does right now. He's completely lost.

    I would rather have a youngster like Tony Thomas coming up and trying to do something than have Aaron [expletive] Miles on the team.

    We should have bunted. Seriously. This offense sucks, at least a ground ball or sac fly gets 1 run in there. Bunted with Reed, to get to Fontenot vs a lefty and Aaron Miles? You got to be kidding me The chances of Fontenot hitting a ground ball or sac fly are probably greater than Reed getting a hit. Unfortunately. This team blows. Not against a lefty it isnt It doesn't matter either way. We have to pray that Lee, Bradley, and Soto can somehow scrape across a run. The rest of the offense is useless.

    So do I. I can't stand these games against the White Sox. I wish they'd do away with Interleague play.

    Just looking at Soriano's numbers, you can see that he has started a steady decline. His OPS has fallen every year since his best year in 2006. 2006: .911 2007: .897 2008: .876 2009: .749 Obviously, this season is quite a drop and I expect him to pick it up somewhat, but we have 5 more seasons left on Soriano's contract where he'll be 38 by the end of it. The contract is going to get worse every year.

    I don't know how you can say a team that won 97 games last year has had its window closed. They're a worse team, but they're still a team capable of winning the world series without adding anything. Our offense is mostly comprised of players on the wrong side of 30 who all have large contracts that make moving them difficult. We could definitely be in for a string of bad years coming up.
