Bob being Bob. I don't have any problem with it. Soriano has no idea how to hustle and should be called out for it. The problem I have with it is he was the only guy to come through in the inning. Ramirez looked like a rookie in his first big league at bat and Soto couldn't make contact either. While Soriano might not have hustled, he did drive in a run which is more than we can say for anyone else in the line-up tonight. What would they have said if he would have been thrown out trying to get to second? He's being paid a zillion dollars and has a .760 OPS. Who cares if he came through one time.
What did he say? I'm stuck watching the Rockies feed. Bob has always hated, Soriano, imo. Len said something about Soriano not turning it on when he saw the ball drop in. Bob said, "You surprised?"
There are lots of bad GMs out there. Baseball GMs, when compared to the heads of other billion dollar operations, are laughably bad. The old boys club has kept it that way.
He doesn't have any good pitches besides the fastball. He's very raw and should be getting innings in the minors, but the Cubs are idiots and think he's best suited pitching once every few days, and that he'll somehow magically figure things out.
http://www.baseballamerica.com/chat/?1249665258 I think that's pretty much how most of us see him. The 2006 draft was definitely not a good one for the Cubs.
