Wow, I don't think any American Sports manager faces the amount of pressure they get over in Europe or even in South America for that matter. I thought he has does a great job. Maurinho and Abramovich just did not see eye to eye on players. Not winning the Premier League or Champions League last year, along with their recent poor form and drawing at home to Rosenborg... I'm surprised, but not surprised. I could see him taking over the Portugal team, I just hope he doesn't wind up at Manchester United after Sir Alex Ferguson leaves in a few years. He directed boring football at Chelsea. Good and productive, but boring. He was (is) a great interview, though, his post-match quotes were always something to behold. I get the feeling that Abramovich and Steinbrenner would be BFF should they ever met. Had to do the BFF, the old lady text messaging commercial cracks me up. Very similar, I agree. Steinbrenner learned to have baseball people control most of his moves, though, I think. Abramovich won't win if he controls the football moves.
