Cub pitchers (definitely including Marquis) also have a habit of giving up more runs in the early innings than the rest of the game, and with the Marlins bullpen, I like the Cubs' chances this game. I really hope they can make me not care about the game in Milwaukee.
Holy crap - Ramirez and Hermeda both made an out. In the same inning!! Marquis has officially pitched over his head for the game and needs to stop pitching NOW.
Marlins bullpen up again. If this game turns into another bullpen contest, things look really good for the Cubs. We just need to get to our bullpen before Marquis pisses on this game any more.
In two games this series, the Brewers' first four batters have combined for 7 first inning runs. I'd like to see that game reach teh second inning before I get terribly pumped, but still - Thanks, Pujols. I promise not to misspell your name tonight.
maybe they're worried that the motor on his wheelchair is supercharged tonight It's too bad Floyd and Kendall are on the same team. I'd love to see Floyd try to steal second on Kendall. While Trachsel is pitching.
It's not his fault. It should still be 2-1 Don't absolve him. He put two poor hitters on base ahead of that fiasco. Exactly - the first on an 0-2 pitch, the second on the heels of a 1 for 33 slump.
At least the Cubs came out and showed in the second inning that they can take pitches and score off this pitcher. Hopefully the top of the order doesn't put up a repeat performance of the first inning.
