What if Dean walks or gets a hit without scoring a run? Then that theory is out the window lol I get it, but he’s basically saying “Dean will get out and be my ghost runner in the 10th.” Stupid philosophy in my opinion. Shaw may be hurting - who know. Either way, I’d sooner have Shaw hit against Megill than Dean any day

I appreciate you and @Rcal10 for the explanation. I was under the impression he was in the Mets rotation the whole time. He was humming along, so it was shocking to see him pulled out after 5.2 innings
