    I highly doubt that Tejeda wants to play anywhere other than the east coast, a friend of his told a newspaper BOSTON would be his #1 choice, and I doubt that the O's would trade him to a division rival unless the deal was heavily weighed in their direction. Manny wants to go west, that is 1 reason the Mets deal fell apart. Personally, I am not sure he is what the Cubs need. Do any of you think that Miggy could have been on steroids while he was in Oakland? Just a thought...his #'s were way down in the 2nd half this year...7 hrs in his last 300 abs.

    Gammons says that Rangers want 2b hudson from toronto and that they will trade some of their other of's for ideally 3 pitchers...toronto has had interest in wilkerson as well

    what a steal for the Rangers...last I heard the Dodgers were offering 1 minor league pitcher and the Nats gave up two of's with a ton of cheap talent.

    And if you trade patterson and walker, thats another 6 million cleared for another player. Personally, I think that the free agents are going to get more than they are worth. Supply and demand. There are really only about 12-15 quality free agents total. Gms will overpay. I bet Burnett gets 60 million. Plus, as Cubs fans, we may see some benefit of the White Sox winning the World Series. Maybe the Cubs will spend more?? The past would say no, but Hendry is being very agressive thats for sure.

    if Texas is a fool and sees Patterson as what everyone thought he would be, they could see value there. Hill is a guy they wanted at the deadline as was walker. Don't they have another 3b prospect in the minors they are high on..

    Now is as good of time as any to trade walker..his value will never be higher. Plus, its hard to say that trading Walker is a bad idea when you don't know (yet) what the Cubs will get in return. Texas likes walker and pattersen.. why not try this trade.. Texas gets: Walker 2b Pattersen OF Hill P Philly gets: Blalock 3B Cubs get: Abreu RF

    Pierre would be fine if furcal doesn't sign..i just think he is weak defensively, especially his arm. Then again, that might only cost you a few games..

    Bradley has loads of talent but lots of baggage. Not sure if the Cubs would have an interest. I do like the idea of lofton for a 1 yr deal... not real big on Pierre either...I'd be for a Griffey trade but that won't happen either.

    the reason I suggested Wells was because we really need atleast 2 outfielders.. I am all for Giles and Murton started 4-7 in the Fall League...who is the third of?

    i am not in love with the idea of Soriano either, but its no secret that we wanted him at the deadline and Texas wanted walker.

    I think that the Cubs will trade Walker because quite simply his value is so high...
