I'm just wondering about options concerning Alcantara. I didn't check, but I think I remember reading he is out of options. If that is so, it's Cubs or be released and he most certainly would be picked up. I am in favor of a "Killer B" signing. I would like to see Bregman or Bichette signed for 3rd and it wouldn't kill me if Belanger came back home too. I find it interesting that Bregman got a very nice offer (5/170) from the Red Sox but did not jump on that. Is it really just us or the Red Sox? The rest of January will probably be a drag and nothing tangible happens. Wish I had a crystal ball. Come on Jed, ONE MORE! UPDATE: "Ya know nothing hrm3rd." Cubs sign Bregman!! Well done Jed!

Porter Hodge is a righty not a lefty. I would like to see a top closer like you suggest, but with many contracts ending after this season, a top starter is a must in my book. Mahle = meh I enjoyed reading your post.
