  1. One more out, trailing 2 if he can get out of it won’t be too bad considering the bases were loaded with no outs…
  2. True, I guess it depends on how many teams need SS help. I know the Dodgers do unless they make a trade for one before the deadline.
  3. I don’t either, but he’s someone the Cubs could look into after this season is what I meant.
  4. What about Willy Adames? Free agent to be at the end of the season. Could slot him at 3B, doesn’t look like the Brewers will extend him, probably won’t be too expensive to sign.
  5. He was throwin gas, I think he hit 99 once.
  6. Now hopefully they take care of business in STL and keep this momentum going… Can you imagine a sweep of the Cards before the break?
  7. Hopefully he no hits them. Edit seconds later: NVM…
  8. They couldn’t wait for the at bat to finish at least?
  9. Who else is packaged with Robert in this scenario? Not sure I want to trade PCA + for just Robert if that’s what you’re saying.
  10. C’mon now, you know the Cubs are due for their long awaited winning streaks. Can’t trade Happer now. Even if they don’t start winning, I think Happ is here to stay.
  11. I wonder what goes down in the clubhouse after every 2 hit 1 run game this team seems to have. They need Brad Pit to throw a few chairs around like in Moneyball.
  12. What kind of contract will Soto demand at this point if he’s continuing to do this well? 450-500 mil? Surely at least 10 years if not more. Soto wants to win, unless he’s chasing a paycheck the Cubs have to add more talent to entice him to come to Chicago.
  13. I’m glad Steele said something. It’s probably a kick in the ass this team needs. The Mets held a team meeting a week or 2 back and now are back at .500 and have been playing a lot better. In San Diego, when Profar was HBP after he hit a home run the ump issued no warning even though it was an intentional HBP. Schildt came charging out of the dugout screaming at the ump for Corbin to get tossed but he was tossed instead. Needless to say, that pumped the whole team up and the Padres have been on a tear lately 9-1 in their last 10 games. You can tell Steele’s been frustrated lately, rolling his eyes at errors, rolling his eyes at the ump when he knows his pitches are strikes but are called balls. Every player will say they care about the team wins as a whole but you can’t tell me he isn’t pissed that he hasn’t gotten a win in his starts this season. Team wins are important but his numbers need to show too for his own benefit especially since he’s pitching really well.
  14. Brewers got into a pickle. Nico threw to Morel too late and runner was safe, both runners advanced.
  15. That’s how it’s done Morel, swing at pitches that aren’t strikes… Atta boy!
  16. Is it just me or does his bat seem like it’s too heavy for him?
  17. Un'altra volta, ma fammi sentire davvero la musica in esso
