  1. This Dodgers lineup and starting rotation and bullpen is like a pitbull on a poodle. Stupidly deep roster.
  2. Could be, but it would have been very close. The outfielder was out of view when Tauchmann rounded third and then his hamstring popped. The outfielder might not have gathered the baseball yet. It would have been close. Really unfortunate.
  3. Would usually post this in the baseball chit-chat thread, but figured it’s must see. White Sox lost in the most White Sox way imaginable
  4. That is the first time anyone has ever said that to me. 😄
  5. I like the username change. Even from PSD, I kept getting you (1908Cubs) and CubsRule08 mixed up. Probably because you’re both so analytically awesome! 🙂
  6. Bullpen pitched well. Must have trailed by a lot.
  7. This lineup absolutely can come back from a four run deficit, but needing this bullpen to throw four clean innings, plus needing to find four runs seems like a lost cause.
  8. Another fun fact: Cubs have won 7 of 8. More fun facts: It’s 1-1. A less than fun fact: Cubs will eventually lose 7 of 8 because the baseball season is long.
  9. Tony Cruz as well. Died saving former ML’er Esteban German from falling debris. Sad situation.
  10. Runs scored is 94, next best is 78 Run diff is +32, next best is +22
  11. Baseball umpires messing up calls in the late innings, obviously trying to finish up quickly reminds me of this referee who blew for full time 5+ minutes early.
  12. Can’t fault PCA for trying to run 2 bases. He’s given us a great buffer.
  13. I’d love to see the wide shot of that, and why Ian Happ isn’t standing on third. Was he watching his eventual…. out?
  14. Hopefully it’s the former, but you just know that the latter is a lot more likely.
  15. The Ricketts might not sign Kyle Tucker to an extension. But a tote bag is a nice consolation prize.
  16. Oh yes, always nice to not let a bases opportunity go to waste. This offense has a lot of ability.
  17. Throwing on PCA seems like a silly thing for a catcher to do. The catcher needs to be seriously confident of throwing him out and at least not to throw it into the outfield.
