  1. Glasnow is going to be playing for his next contract, so he will probably pull out 200+ innings in 2024.
  2. I feel like the handle would have been wasted if it was just KatyPerry, since it worked in tandem with WetButt22. So KatyPerrybootyhole was actually an appropriate handle.
  3. A KatyPerry handle does ring a bell from the PSD days lol. Edit: There you go. I thought there was more to the handle.
  4. What a wild, wild time that was when a handle called WetButt pretended to have solid sources.
  5. I’ll say that’s a unique setup.
  6. The way this club has seemingly been linked with everyone that is good over the last few weeks, it looks like we will get multiple somethings that are good this winter. Difficult to say who these players will be but the roster will continue to shape up beautifully.
  7. Aww, thanks man! :) Hopefully we do have some good memories this winter. Fingers crossed.
  8. Yeah, definitely sucks. People simply weren’t given enough time to make plans with each other to join different forums, so most people would have just instantly lost contact. Especially if you didn’t hop on PSD in those last 4 days. I only randomly searched for a Cubs forum a couple months ago and hit on with this place and spotted a bunch of familiar PSD names. My first PSD board I jumped on was the Bulls board 2008-2013 and that was such a busy board. I went back on there only in the last year and it was still relatively active but nowhere near what it was. Going on the Cubs board only came later (2015). I only had a handful of posts on the Cubs board in the last 3-4 years but always went back to the place to check up on things so I definitely know it was always active. Now I am back full time, like I used to so to be, so to speak. I tried to become an all-Chicago sports fan. But the Hawks and Bears thing never stuck and I don’t know if I have watched a handful of games for either sport. So no, definitely not a Hawks fan. 😛
  9. Some very good memories on there. And then the admin decides to give everyone a 4 day warning before they shut the place down for good lol.
  10. Nice 3-0 win. I forget how much Everton horsefeathers themselves when Tony Martial puts on the black gloves.
  11. Wtf Garnacho? What a goal.
  12. Shohei might have an idea of how long he wants to play for but we are still talking about a human being here. He might still be enjoying playing until his late 30s/early 40s or doing as much prep as he does being a two way player is just too exhausting and he wants to finish in 6-8 years from now to spend time with his family. He might go with a wait and see approach, sign for 12 years for the security and then retire after 8 years.
  13. A team is basically buying two positions (have to wait for 2025 for one of them), but maybe the offer won’t necessarily be over $500 million. Shohei could be a surprise and prefer team fit, not biggest offer. Hopefully something will happen over the next 10 days.
  14. My experience is that if you need to ask yourself “Who knows if he actually has this info”, the person typically has no info and is a random who has appeared out of nowhere. I will say, however, that any team that is going to make Shohei Ohtani an offer will need to offer north of $500 million. That is just logic.
  15. Maybe I am misremembering what I read 2-3 weeks ago but apparently the Mets are not going to spend a lot of money this winter after they spent half the leagues budget last winter. Although it would be crazy seeing a free spending owner not going after someone like Ohtani the only time he will probably be available (sans opt outs).
  16. No, that wouldn’t be real.
  17. Of course I wouldn’t be disappointed with any of those options. I just didn’t name everyone I would love to sign/trade for this winter.
  18. I just hope at the end of the offseason the Cubs FO aren’t patting themselves on the back that they “put the pressure on” in the Ohtani/Yamamoto/Soto trade market etc sweepstakes and end up with a bunch of Plan D signings. Now that would be disappointing.
  19. I am struggling to get passed the misspelling of Sawamura. 🤦
  20. Brazil’s first ever home World Cup qualification defeat. Nuts.
  21. Yes. Drinking buddies.
  22. This has Yankees written all over it.
  23. Yep. I think it’s way overblown that Ohtani will “reportedly” hold it against club if they go public with their interest. Or hold it against any city that puts up a large ad for him for his potential arrival. Shohei is not going to stay away from his first choice club just because his second choice club kept things more hush-hush.
  24. It’s safe to say it all went downhill for Gibraltar when they went down to 10 men.
  25. I hope Mike Trout is available because one of the greatest players in the history of this sport shouldn’t be playing out his career at such a basket case. But as the above posters have said, I don’t know if I go near him with that injury history. It will only get worse as he ages.
