It would be really nice not to put base runners on base due to bad defense. -
Death, taxes and the Angels still suck.

I wouldn’t ever want to do a Q type trade again, but if the Cubs must do one in the future, I would hope it doesn’t do much to turn the other team into a contender. Cease is in San Diego now and Jimenez is playing on a 5-22 team.

Just saw the condensed game on MLB.TV. It was a solid decision to turn the TV off in the 4th inning and get some sleep.

Downside is lots of hard hits off Brown. Upside is it’s still a 2-0 ball game. Hopefully Ben settles down and has a clean third.

The fielding challenge in this ballpark is the OF ffs, not 1st base.

What a great signing Shota has been. I am in love.

Despite the traffic in that inning, Shota getting through 4 innings in 47 pitches is Kyle Hendricks like from back in the day.

Best kind of bad defense is the kind that isn’t from the Cubs.
