My second screw up in one post. And do I stop posting out of embarrassment? No! I keep making myself look even more stupid.
-
Yep, you’re correct. Only the base runners that were already on base, that ended up scoring, are charged to Shota.
-
Oh ffs. Shota doesn’t deserve today at all. Pitching 6.2 innings, pulls a hammy (hopefully cramps), next thing he knows he’s charged with 4 runs.
-
That was… horsefeathers.
-
Not good.
-
Welp, can’t always have an offensive explosion.
-
I am actually not sure, as I don’t watch Iowa games. The article I read was from five years ago and back then it was Deene Ehlis. So your guess is better than mine.
-
Everything in sports now is about betting. Heck, when the Prosportsdaily forum shut down, the old domain the forum was on started linking to a betting website. Wild stuff lol.
-
All I could find was an article from a few years ago that he works alone on road games. On home games, he has a partner.
-
Pay him!
-
My goodness PCA! Don't be an horsefeathers Jed, extend him.

I know Alex Cohen gets a bad wrap for a lack of chemistry with JD. But then you consider that he is 37 years old and JD is 64 years old and they will struggle with having a flowing conversation about old school baseball, and maybe even current day baseball as their experiences in baseball are different. I think Cohen is doing a fine job.

Dansby Swanson moved out of the 5 spot for hitting like Justin Turner. Justin Turner moved into the 5 spot. Justin Turner makes it 1-0. Tell me baseball doesn’t make sense without telling me baseball doesn’t make sense.
-
Justin Turner fielding in the universal DH era is a bit weird.
-
Yay! Only 2 more runs were scored. I bowed out at 8-0 in the 3rd because the stream I was watching was like I was being waterboarded slowly.
-
GS! 8-0.
-
Why I couldn’t be happier than baseball is leaving ESPN from next year.
-
horsefeathers no!
-
Pitching around Happ to get to Tucker with the bases loaded?
-
That was a good save from Priester.
-
Haha, Priester sucks as well,
-
Pat Murphy’s opener sucks.
-
Hopefully I can find a good stream today because I don’t particularly want to buy a $13 Apple TV sub for one game.
-
Death, taxes and another Mike Trout IL stint. It’s gone from being disappointed he wasn’t traded to a contender years ago to that contract is a black hole and any contender doing the trade today will regret it. Such a shame.

Cubs (Rea) vs Pirates (Skenes): 5/1/25, 11:35pm

With the Mets loss today against the D’Backs, they’ve suffered back to back home losses in the regular season for the first time since July 2024. Bodes well for our upcoming visit to Citi Field. I guess.
