I liked Cade today. I like Palencia in the pen.
Can’t wait for Matt Shaw to come back up and stick. Shaw, PCA and Horton are all 23 year olds. Very nice to see we can have three potential stars for the next 6-10+ years.
Love these “my pitcher is struggling, I’ll come out and speak to him and after that he will pitch like Prime Maddux!” mound visits. A story as old as time.
This offense has been on a worrying trend as of late. Or they have simply regressed to the mean.
Either way, they aren’t scoring 7+ runs consistently anymore and that just sucks.
At least one positive is it sounds like Cade Horton will be pitching tomorrow. Game 3 starts at Stupid O’Clock, 2:05AM. So Game 2 would be perfect lol.
If it was my choice, I wouldn’t throw Cade in against the Mets first up. But he has to start somewhere and this is just how it lines up with Shota going down.
It’s hard to say really. But what I can say is I quite liked that time when Craig Counsell finally moved Dansby Swanson out of the 5 spot and replaced him in the 5 spot with Justin Turner.
The review system has really made these umpires lazy. The ump clearly saw that was out. Call it out and if the Giants want to review (they won’t), they can do that.
Okay, that’s fair enough. It’s easy to forget all the good a pitcher has done over a long period of time, after an outing like that. Especially when he’s struggled previously to his good stretch..
