  1. Shohei Ohtani doesn’t make any sense. Dude was a two way player in Japan, so coming over as that but often you’d hear “two way player” and think that one of those skills are far ahead of the other and that’s fine. But Shohei is genuinely elite at both. Like club ace and best hitter in baseball territory. Crazy.
  2. Sweeping the Dodgers today would be something else.
  3. 75-70 on the year. The offense has been on a tear for weeks and have gone gone 3-2 over the Yankees and Dodgers the last 5 games. If only Alzolay didn’t blow a stupid amount of saves early in the season, Neris wasn’t the closer for way too long and Kyle Hendricks hasn’t someho been given 21 starts this year…
  4. You know the Dodgers are going to play angry tomorrow and score 22 runs.
  5. Dodgers have gone full White Sox.
  6. At this point in time, I am choosing to believe this.
  7. Between Boog starting stories and Sutcliffe finishing them and the 31st “PCA played at Dodger Stadium and here is a cute photo of him with Nomar” story, can we please get JD back soon?
  8. Imanaga vs Yamamoto and Ohtani is going to be fun.
  9. Surely it’s not a team directive that ball boy/chair dude literally goes sprinting in the path of the RF’er. Imagine crashing into Mookie Betts. 😂
  10. I’m shocked that Willie Harris didn’t go with his usual “horsefeathers it, this will be pretty close-ish” send.
  11. The forum should horsefeathers the bed every day if it means the Cubs are going to play like this.
  12. Ian Happ took that catch and crashed into the wall like a boss. Great play.
  13. The game has been on in the background so not really paying attention to the broadcast, look up just now and it’s Boog and Joe Girardi in the booth. So I guess JD won’t be around for the next week, and when he returns, Boog will take his holiday. I miss WGN.
  14. The 9th inning went the same way as the previous 8 innings.
  15. Oh good, we are saved. Paredes is up.
  16. Things that I am not surprised about: Anthony Rizzo is still a really good dude and always will be.
  17. To think that this years White Sox are so much crapper than last years A’s. A’s started 2023 with a 10-45 record (tying two other clubs for the worst first 55 game start in MLB history) and a 21-61 first half record, on track to be worse than the 1962 Mets. Did not even come close to that record in the end. Today the White Sox are 32-109. On track to finish with the worse record in MLB history, unless they somehow win 9 games from their final 16.
  18. First Cubs no hitter at WF since 1972. Was not expecting that one.
  19. Last Cubs no hitter was the combined variety.
