  1. I like your thoughts. 3b possibly returns to being a blackhole. And I'd suspect the Mets might want to have Alonzo batting with Soto.
  2. I definitely wanted that pitcher. But I really want Tucker just as much. The one bothersome notion. Our old buddy breslow has now pushed the Yankees into responding to the crochet deal. And almost assuredly belli won't be an equal response. Im keeping a close watch on Feinsand reporting about Tucker
  3. I'm praying jeds China syndrome pays off with this possibly wonderful Roki acquisition. But then I read Padre fans as well as Mariner hopers all believe they have the inside track
  4. Who was proponent for signing 36 year old nate eovaldi to a nice affordable contract? He gets 3 yrs 75 million. Affordable just moved up a tax bracket or two.
  5. I get it but ? I cant help believing we had a chance to be proactive in a win now season. And with probably a million words on this subject at this site during the deliberation process it all felt too good to not happen, lol
  6. I could read your mention of katy's booty every day lol. A name that will live on infamy
  7. So far, we are 0 for Crochet. Tucker probably depends on the yankers. We might end up with our entire farm intact and a lousy offseason.
  8. I'm not sure why jed was dependant on bringing in another team to sister with the whitesox deal? It's way to complicated in a 3 way. The whitesox were involved in a 3 way at the deadline and to me they drew the the lesser package return. The Dodgers won that deal.
  9. The kid has photos on X from Dallas - he's in convo with jed. Too neat 👌
  10. 2022? I'm talking the crochet deal bungle by jed. Every pundit known to the inter-web had annointed jed as the primary getter of crochet because of the horde (trees) of perceived riches in the minors.(forest). It is a total fail
  11. "IF's" don't win championships. I'll believe in jed "IF" he man's up. And I'll admit my underestimating of ballsy jed.
  12. More proof of boston breslow having bigger brass balls compared to chicago pewter ornaments
  13. I'd do that for 26 yearold crochet everyday and not look back.
  14. On a different train of thought to get a break from the hand wringing over whether or not jed can extend a hypothetical messiah : jeds former underling now in Boston traded for a once thought of best cub option for our pitching rotation. He gave 4 youngsters for Crochet. My question: what would've been the Cubs equivalent to the Boston booty? And with failure rate of prospects so great, why wouldn't jed take advantage and pay up for a highly proven youngster? Seems like a total miss on jeds swing
  15. This is like hold your breath day and continually refreshing the latest mlb news all afternoon. I'm loving it 😍
  16. I thought The Athletic? I dont have a subscription. That's why I thought it was legit, mentioned he signed for 3 years
  17. Million dollar arm , 10 cent head
  18. I thought for sure Alcantara was going to be moved, then someone here pointed out he has another option year. I wouldn't be surprised if Jed hangs on to him
  19. This is so weird, my news feed had a story about cubs landed carlos estevez. When I clicked on, it disappeared without a trace?
  20. It actually would be 2 rather expensive trades
  21. Just going by visuals because I'm too dumb-dumb to explore these statistics. Amaya was a dog turd April may june then improved july august then spiraled back to dog turd statistics immediately once labor day bell rang. How Jeb hasn't made a significant move at catcher before now is criminal negligence
  22. In the world today, where a team can now pay just short side of a billion dollars for a player (and other teams were willing to offer in the same $ neighborhood) cubfans have to believe cubs will be in desperation mode to alieve themselves of belli $ so they don't exceed 240mil entire team threshold while continually signing the injury impaired bounceback candidates rather elite tier players
  23. It's widely known mlb teams have handshake deals with Latin international signings well in advance to official signing periods. I'm wondering if Sasaki.....
  24. Beautifully written Matt. This is by far a well structured narrative. Complete with realism and a little satire sprinkled within.
