Respectfully, I disagree. His profile just screams regression, but i hope you and Jed are right -
I think the sample size of his entire career of him hitting beyond his xwOBA is finally catching up to him. He was able to succeed hitting at the trop despite his shortcomings but I think his entire career has shown hes a largly mediocre player who has gotten lucky. And now hitting at Wrigley, I believe its quite obvious its going to be a struggle for him. Because it has been for him his entire career away from the trop.

Id call him up now. I know hes got a 100 wRC+ at AAA but i think its worthwhile to get him a look at the MLB level to gauge how badly they need to spend this offseason at the catcher position

Sharma made a good point on foul territory about how if they finish close to .500 or above it, ownership is more likely to sign off on more spending/bigger contract's. That makes sense to me but i dont think hoyer would go after Soto even if he was green lighted to spend big so idk what to root for. Probably best for them to get a better pick.
