Is today the last day of the winter meetings?
-
Looks like the yankees traded for some international bonus pool space. Must be trying to make a stronger pitch for Sasaki
-
Trading for Tucker and then not extending him is peak stupidity
-
Workman must mean Mastrobuoni is on the way out. My heart cant take it if this offseason we see Mastrobuoni and Paredes off the team
-
Once they trade Paredes for Tucker, sign Bregman for 3B. Trade Bellinger to open up some cash 🙂
-
Dont mind at all letting Paredes go but not so thrilled about Suzuki being included too. Would rather have them send Alcantara
-
They can have Paredes
-
With the Yankees pivoting to Walker i wonder if Hoyer overplayed his hand with Bellinger. Maybe was asking for too much when he should just be a salary dump at this point. Or maybe Cubs are close to trading him elsewhere

2025 MLB Draft Thread
WhyCantWeWin replied to Outshined_One's topic in MLB Draft, International Signings, Amateur Baseball
Lol mariners and cards get insane luck and the poverty cubs move down a spot. Typical -
Yeah just did some reading and it looks like thats the case with them presenting him teams that are interested in trading for him and him saying he would waive his NTC for a team where he is not a full time DH. Have to say, i have say no idea what the hell jed is doing
-
So did Seiya demand a trade or basically imply he wont accept a full time DH role and would want a trade in that event
-
Tucker would be pricey but i dont think it would cost one of their big three prospects. (Shaw, Horton, Caissie)

Cubs Showing Interest In Additional Late Inning Relievers
WhyCantWeWin replied to Bertz's topic in Chicago Cubs Talk
I never heard of Minter before but his numbers are pretty good, he would be a solid addition -
That kelly deal better not be more than 10 mil or longer than a 1 year deal
-
Surprised that the red sox offered him 700 mil. Thought the whole point of Breslow there was to bring Hoyernomics to Boston but guess no one else is that foolish
-
I stand corrected
-
Isnt Heyman on the Boras corp payroll? I wouldn’t believe what he says
-
Good news for us i guess, maybe yankees get hot and wet for Bellinger if they whiff on Soto
-
Guess Thaiss really is their guy
-
Guess Hoyer just gave up on creating a pipeline of talent from Japan. Really bad look to trade Suzuki
-
Rumor: Cubs, Sox, Mariners in talks on 3 team deal
WhyCantWeWin replied to Rex Buckingham's topic in Chicago Cubs Talk
Is this just some random dude -
A lot of flak around here about small sample sizes and here Hoyer gives an ol boy 30 mil based on 40 innings.
-
I bet they pick up Buehler and Bieber as a multi year project

Blake Snell signs with Dodgers 5/182 (not a placeholder)
WhyCantWeWin replied to CubsLeaf's topic in General Baseball Talk
No wonder Ohtani joined the Dodgers. Spending big even tho they just won the world series while the cubs are cutting payroll
