My love of this team has died post-2017. I don't really blame the owners, I think enough money is being spent. Jed is just really bad at his job. He's trying to build a high-priced team of average players and no stars. This is Chicago.
This team was designed to be mediocre so we shouldn't be surprised by the results. They'll run back the same team next year and maybe they'll get lucky that time.
Don't think it'll happen unless they call the Steelers bluff with Wilson meeting with them. I'm ready for this to be over though. The amount of crap on social media discrediting reporters is reminding me of politics
I'm still curious what was being offered for Contreras at the deadline last year. It had to be better than the #68 pick they got for compensation. I'd rather take on a prospect or two that you've seen play in MILB over a dart throw.
I never got the Ed Howard pick. That pick was so different than any pick in the Theo era. It almost felt like they let emotions dictate that pick over what they usually go for in going for the "he's from Chicago" story
