  1. i hate this. only in the nba can you have a 12 point lead decimated in 5 seconds by a horrible team like the celtics.
  2. ball game, the crappy celtics beat us by not ever missing a 3 pointer down the stretch. what a joke, unbelievable. we should be ashamed losing to such a horrid team.
  3. geez, gordon hits a huge shot to give us a 5 point lead and a lurch lafrentz 3 pointer and an ill-advised wide open 3 pointer by duhon and we're going to be tied. does boston have a guy over 6-10 that doesn't get most of his shots outside the arc?
  4. there needs to be an investigation of this one. these refs need to know that there are consequences for failing at their jobs.
  5. i wish the refs uld just let them play. the ref who didn't make the call on that phantom hinrich foul was speechless when hinrich asked what he did. the ref honestly didn't know but he wouldn't override his buddy.
  6. i'm really rooting for stacy tonight. he hasn't been a complete disaster but did state that curry was a "great defender". wayne is trying to do color as well.
  7. they should be the favorites. melo is still hobbled with a bad ankle, the nugs have been mediocre since the first 50 games of last season and k-mart is most definitely not the answer. i think the bulls win by 15. 101-86
  8. They drafted a tweener in Gordon, it won't stunt the development of Deng. Garcia over Carney? Garcia is one dimensional and limited athletically. If the Bulls draft Head, they just might corner the market small 2 guards. Carney is a much better prospect than Garcia, if the Bulls did not draft the best player avail. when they pick b/c of fear of limiting playing time to Deng and go with a lesser player, Paxson should be canned. yes, but, imo, head projects out as a combo guard that would be used, primarily as a point. better handles than gordon, better passer, much better defender. as for garcia, one-dimensional? he can shoot, pass, rebound, play d, and he's a team leader. i've been watching carney for 3 years and i'm not all too impressed with him, comparitively. i'd rather have garcia. yes, i'd like to draft the best player available, but if a guy comes up who fills a need for us, i say we take him. i wouldn't pass on turiaf, either. we probably aren't going to be drafting any instant starters, if we can keep our present team intact for next season. we need an upgrade to duhon, which is why i like head, but we're doing surpirsingly well with him in the lineup. so, i couldn't really care less about the draft, since, even if we get to keep the pick, it's not going to be a difference maker anyway. our defense doen't need much help, and if we need a specialist, free agency is an option.
  9. doesn't have the ring to it that no tippin pippen does.
  10. keener, you told me you were going to stop spelling it that way! you lied to me!!!!!!!!!!! but anyway, bulls at .500, i smell some playoffs. Deng it, thats what I get for trying to play poker and write that at the same time. Alright Sulley, GordOn needs a nickname, so I can stop screwing his name up. Since it is you who keeps pointing my mistake out, it is your job to come up with the nickname  Bulls with a really busy week this week, another back to back Mon-Tues. Their schedule in Feb is brutal so they need all these games in Jan. Once again also, am I alone in being overly impressed with the way this team plays in the 2nd half usually? I dont know if its Skiles adjusting, or if its just this team, but I know there have been numerous games in the 3rd quarter where the Bulls go on a major run. I expect full reports Mon and Tues as I have to bartend Mon night, and Tues is my birthday so Im going to the boat. So full recaps expected, and greatly appreciated. i'll try with the nickname. here's a list: 1. quiet riot 2. the boy who saved spring break 3. the girl who loved ben gordon 4. big fat dynamo 5. don't touch me there 6. flesh 7. alf 8. i left your tip at msg, have a toothpick (or, scottie told me he would cover it) 9. junk in the trunk 10. osama ben gordon
  11. He isn't quick enough to cover most of the quicker 3s and can't cover the 2, can he be? Possibly, but the Bulls still need depth at the 3, and I would rather see that player be able to defend or hit the jumper, drafting a 3 doesn't equate to benching Deng or calling him a bust. i doubt the bulls take a 2 or 3 with this theoretical pick, they did that with their first 2 last year. any playing time that a player like carney takes away from deng is impeding the development of a future all-star. i just really doubt that paxson goes that way again, especially as successful as last year's draft is turning out to be. btw- if we draft a 3 with the pick, i'd rather have fransisco garcia. defense really isn't our problem anyways. if anything, i think we take a chance up front with a guy like simien or lorbek. if we go backcourt, i wouldn't mind luther or salim, guys who can fill it up from the outside.
  12. I think they should get someone at the 3, someone who lock down the opposing 2/3 or someone who can extend the defense with a solid outside jumper. The Bulls can be easily exposed by a solid 2/3, Pierce and Rip can score on anyone on a given night, but the Bulls have troubles vs. most. deng's only 19, he's going to get a lot better. it's scary how good that kid could get. he can do everything.
  13. keener, you told me you were going to stop spelling it that way! you lied to me!!!!!!!!!!! but anyway, bulls at .500, i smell some playoffs.
  14. Also Gordon was 1-7 shooting, and most of the shots were nowhere close. I like the fact that Skiles isnt letting these guys get away with poor defense, no hustle, and stupid TO"S. Just because they are winning he cant let these young guys feel like they can do what they want. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/cs-050119bullsgamer,1,5334028.story?coll=cs-home-headlines Just wanted to state that I wasn't saying Gordon does all those things I mentioned. It was a generaltization of reasons why Skiles has benched people on this team throughout the season. in defense of gordon, he was horrid on monday until halfway through the 4th.
  15. you must mean the spurs. Yes, sorry he was on Seattle last year, went to San Antonio this year. i used to watch him in seattle, he was a pretty popular player there, i'm surprised that they let him go. although they don't seem to be missing him at all.
  16. you must mean the spurs.
  17. Imagine how good they could be if they'd knock that stuff off.... Oh, I know. Right now the Bulls are at a Detroit/Cleveland level, but they'll probably finish with a record around the Orlando/Atlantic winner level because they simply don't take care of the ball. Think of it this way: Since the Bulls started 3-14, they've gone 14-4. Of the four losses, one was a 1-point loss to the Mavs that they led by 10 in the fourth, and 2 with 13 seconds remaining (absolutely gave that one away). Another was a 7-point loss in Milwaukee where the Bulls came all the way back from a 9-point deficit to tie the game with a minute remaining before falling apart. A third was a home loss to the Nets where the Bulls blew a 6-point lead with 3 minutes remaining. And the fourth was a home loss to Detroit where the Bulls had a lead, but gave way to a 14-4 run late that put the game away. They've been in every game they've played since the beginning of December, and though they've had a favorable home schedule, they're beating the good teams, too (Cleveland, Detroit, Minnesota, Memphis, Orlando, Philly, Boston, Knicks twice). The only teams I see right now that clearly outclass the Bulls are Phoenix (w/Nash), San Antonio, Miami, Seattle, and probably Detroit. at least they've got defense down, now. i'm thankful for that. we can work on decreasing turnovers as the season progresses, but i'm just so happy to see some kind of learning going on. it's like that episode of webster when he undergoes those tests and at the end he finds out that he's going to grow. i feel like that.
  18. http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?topic=328098 check this red-arsed baboon out. he really hates the bulls. the hater philosophy is alive and well.
  19. i've said it before and i'll say it again, isiah thomas has ruined everything he has touched after his playing days. he needs to go away somewhere and be stupid on his own time.
  20. gordon talks like the rza, is he from staten island?
  21. gordon=real good scottie struttin' around courtside. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
  22. "That Dad" on those saturn relay commercials, you know, the one who wants to teach his son "how to throw a perfect spiral", well, he throws a like a girl.
  23. hey marbury, where was your middle range game at the olympics? you dillweed.
  24. my problem is that we know he's going to shoot, he can't drive on anyone, just get up in his face.
  25. does allan houston do anything but shoot 3-pointers? against us, he seems to make more than he does against anyone else.
