    i never said that the majority of cubs fans are racist, that's absurd. my ideas are my ideas, i have no stats to back them up, i have no set of data, i have only my experience. you can't go down to the library and look this crap up. hah, the north side of chicago isn't exactly a haven of diversity.

    So you're in effect casually making a gross generalization of not just the entire Cubs fanbase, but the entire fanbases of two other major American cities. And wth no qualification other than your own opinion and your (unstated, but assumed) reaction from the media you've read/seen. gross generalization? that's a cop-out. anyone who says anything about anyone can be accused, it's a weak argument. and..... are you trying to piece together something here? because it kinda looks like you are and it kinda looks like you aren't.

    Michigan dressed up at Delaware State. Every [expletive] person on the team should be taken out back and shot. Yeah, it's probably that more than anything else. i think the illini finally played their optimum game against a team with a frosh qb that sucks against the run. this is the kind of offense that i expexted coming into the year. let leshoure play.

    I'm really looking forward to watching the hockey tournament this year, since we'll be able to see it live or close to it. Yeah, that will be pretty cool. Also, I visited Vancouver earlier this year for the first time. It will be kind of neat to see those Olympics where I just was. Vancouver is on vacation to-do list. Just have to convince wife to go there during the winter so we can see a Hawks game. Trib thinks Huet will start again tonight, and presumably Niemi tomorrow at home against Montreal. I think I would do it the other way, with as poorly as Nashville has played so far. no unlicensed cabs and those guys in the coffee shops aren't smoking cigarettes. actually, vancouver is a helluva a lot of fun. it's not even that cold in the winter. it DOES get windy, tho.

    when i lived in denver, i lived among a pocket of transplanted philadelphians. i think they were all racists and they pretty much acted like it wasn't a big deal. they weren't skinheads or anything, just dumbasses.

    the cubs are one of the most racist fan-bases in the country. right up there with philly and boston. oddly enough, i don't associate many of the southern teams with racism, and i've been to plenty of games all of over the country. it sickens me sometimes to call myself a cub fan, but there's no way of getting around it. do many other cities have racist fans? of course. but there are reasons why things have happened the way they have in the outfield over the years. if you're black, apparently, you should just strap on a smile like ernie banks and say you want to play two. the one's ridiculing bradley for getting angry at racist cat-calls have no perspective at all in life and need to stop being cub fans. they're the ones who are the problem. i think i hear somebody getting angry over racism, somebody call the anger police so they can take care of it.

    At the beginning, absolutely. I think it affected everything else that happened, and the organization should have been smart enough to prevent it from happening. If you know you just spent a top 5 pick on a sensitive guy, you don't let Kreutz, Jones and Urlacher behave like d bags in public and in private. There was one guy on the entire D that wasn't a dick to him, and I know this firsthand. i made excuses for him, too. i thought benson was a smart, articulate, sensitive guy that was getting harrassed. but that's the NFL. football players are douches. kreutz, urlacher, and jones were the heart and soul of the superbowl team, you don't tell them what they can and can't do in the locker room. benson's getting babied, great, that's what he needed, that's what he got his entire life. but just because he wasn't babied in chicago doesn't mean he got a raw deal.

    Sulley, I know you love the Bears, but Ced got as raw of a deal as one could get here. I hope he quotes Jung and then starts chanting. i don't know if you remember it, but i was a HUGE benson supporter and even agreed with the dismissal of thomas jones, thinking we had a stud. it was after the second drinking offense that i figured he didn't care. raw deal? he got every opportunity here, he even quit in the superbowl for some weird reason. don't talk to me about getting a raw deal.

    if they want to show people up, then they should be able to live with finsihing the season with jon kitna at quarterback. why don't you be angry at your own team, instead of worrying about another team? there's enough anger to go around. i'm angry watchijg my team that's on the mat get pummeled while they're unconscious. that's all

    this. if you're a professional football team and you're unable/unwilling to adjust defensively, why should your opponent let off the gas? This isn't Florida vs. Troy here... because there's a whole quarter left to play and wounded playersx can get dirty.
