  1. I don't know about that. They've been more dangerous, but not all that consistent. They scored 7 against New England. Cutler's struggled to get 200 passing yards, and the team has struggled to get 300 total. To be fair, they are always a threat to score, which is something the Bears generally never are. They have won the only 2 real shoot outs they have been in this year, and I'm not saying I have no hope for the playoffs or anything. This team can beat anybody in the league, and that still includes New England. Like someone pointed out earlier...somewhere...I forget which thread and when....the Bears may not get a ton of yards because with their special teams, they end up with a short field so often. They don't have to put together a lot of long, sustained drives. In fact, Football Outsiders has the Bears offense with the #1 starting field position in the league. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/drivestats LOS/Dr is average starting field position. This isn't to say the offense is unbeatable, of course. But NE game aside, they've passed the eyeball test lately. yes, but they have their yards per drive or drive success rate or whatever at 28.
  2. i'd rather draft a big zone corner that fits lovie's scheme.
  3. if you're married, then it's cute. if you aren't, then it's creepy.
  4. In fact, here's a link! http://www.northsidebaseball.com/forum/topic?f=44&t=58319 Some of my best work. Man, you guys got PISSSSSSED. It was funny. You probably shouldn't admit trolling. And you probably shouldn't provide links to it. It wasn't really trolling. At first I was legitimately pissed about the result of the game, but as it went on I was more amused by some of the responses from the board. I did and still do believe that if the Packers had won that game on a last-second field goal after 170-some yards of penalty help from the Bears, Bears fans would have said they handed the Packers that game. lol, he's acting like he was the one that was getting under peoples' skin. that's cute.
  5. if it weren't for the refs the bears probably would have won by 75 points. if it weren't for the fans, the eagles wouldn't be so unlikeable.
  6. if not for the lucky catch by celek that was ten times as fortunate as harris's deflection, it would have been a double-digit victory.
  7. Because it's depressing to watch him get killed out there, that's why. I've said repeatedly that them drafting Luck really isn't fair to him because he deserves a shot with a team whose coach hasn't quit on them and whose offensive line doesn't appear to be double agents, but the NFL is full of QBs unfairly being chucked out on their butts before they're clearly done. And I want Carolina to win games, and I think Luck's their best shot of doing that. luck is going to be about as successful as clausen. i don't see luck being anything special.
  8. Well he made a stupid challenge, and has to live with it. What was the call besides the interception Sulley? the phantom offensive PI. absolutely shameful and unsportsmanlike call by the officials on that one as well.
  9. 2 terrible calls in a row, there. absolutely no way the ref missed that second one on accident. he was standing right there.
  10. matt forte is going to go for 1,000+ rushing and 500+ receiving. that's really impressive.
  11. knox's 1st one was, i think.
  12. wow, manningham beats williams one-on-one for an 85 yard td. it was a play i'm used to packer receivers making. 14-14
  13. nicks with a td, 14-7 pack
  14. who is going to hire mike singletary once he gets fired?
  15. because the parks department is [expletive] with the team. that's not a problem in GB because the city is the team and if you have problem with the parks department, just go down the hallway and smack old ron, john, or duane right upside the head or take a wiz on their mower.
  16. count me as one who absolutely doesn't want to play green bay in the playoffs. go giants.
  17. matt forte was special today, too. ran hard, found the holes, made some big runs.
  18. should the packers win, it's going to be an epic smashing of innards next week.

  20. danny woodhead would be played by that kid from T2 in a sweeping epic/biographic
  21. we just beat a very good AFC team with a highly-rated defense. i like it.
  22. that's how you play the COVER-2 BITCHES!
  23. would have been nice to have fallen on that.
  24. They'd be looking at most likely 50 yards in just over a minute. Definitely more than enough time but with a couple of in bounds tackles to end plays, we can get a lot of time off that clock. Obviously if we get a 1st down here, we win the game. I think we take the chance to win the game vs. running. if we could complete a simple 10 yard pass, we win the game, i don't get it.
