dykstra used to subscribe to some wall street semi-insider publication and then pass those tips off as his own on that show and in articles. he knows less than i do about the market, most likely. -
exactly. there was a lot made about what was going on with wrigley well before ricketts bought them. I'm sure they worked that into the plans before paying nearly a billion for the team.

yes, but what does he have to do with it? lebron didn't average 28-8-7 in those finals, btw, and he was so wildly inefficient that they probably would have been better served to let someone else take shots.

if we're talking about the spurs finals series, lebron shot 90 times and scored 88 points. it's possible you're just not really paying attention to the conversation, though. so you're going with the FG% argument. as long as we're clear. what's the argument against the fg% argument? that it's not the reason the Cavs lost the series. so you're saying that lebron is possibly the GOAT because he didn't completely sabotage and torpedo his own team in 08 finals? sold.

So you agree that Derrick Rose was awful this postseason too, right? what the [expletive] does derrick rose have to do with anything? Just clarifying, as Sponge has told us that 28-8-7 is terrible based on FG% and A crappy supporting cast i haven't seen sponge claim that rose had anything more than an awful postseason, either. i really think you're barking up the wrong tree and invoking an irrelevant point. just because rose was bad this postseason doesn't mean lebron wasn't bad against the spurs in that finals. he was, he played gutless and heartless and failed miserably.

maybe he's just not the one prophesied. maybe he's simply a great player. maybe the scottish would call him toom tabard and spit on the ground whenever his real name is invoked.

You act surprised. This is the third straight year people are questioning if he's "the man" or not. So doesn't that make it a semi-legit question to ask then? If you want to say LeBron hasn't had a great finals, that's a pretty self-evident fact. But all the larger connotations being drawn(Wade at his best is better! he can't carry a team offensively!) are so laughably wrong I can barely read them with a straight face. Basically, it's the same dumb nonsense that sports media tries all the time, but because everyone hates LeBron and the Heat, they go along with it. i think you could go a bit further than "Lebron hasn't had a great finals." you know, there is middle ground between shrugging off his performance as him having a few bad games and proclaiming wade as the best player on that team.
