  1. Bynum LF Perez SS Walker 1B Jones CF Mabry RF Hairston 2B Theriot 3B Blanco C Rusch P You had me until I got to the pitcher. I could totally see Dusty doing something like this. Had me until Theriot.
  2. That was 2 years ago, on one of the most BABIP-inflated years I've ever seen. Lewis is D-U-N done.
  3. Are those jerseys really $22? That seems super cheap to me... it is super cheap. I'm pretty sure they're the same replica jerseys that ussoccer.com sells for $70, though.
  4. Oops, my bad! I could play this off like I meant to do it in sort of ironic "moran" type thing, but I'll just admit I'm not very good at spelling. But what do I care, I just had my last final and am graduating on Sunday! Why aren't you out drinking? (Ignore this comment if you're graduating from high school.)
  5. stupid wgn...all that I had to do was watch TBS more as a child...stupid outlier season of '89. I was an impressionable ten year old...bah.... I share your pain. I was 10 in '89 as well. I was convinced that it was a sign of things to come. I was an idiot. Look, isn't it obvious that we were all idiots when we were ten? I think I spent the entire summer that year beating Legend of Zelda. Nowadays I can beat it in 2-3 hours.
  6. 4 months until ND and the Panthers start :-k World cup coming up.
  7. If I had any pride and played on this team, I would've found someone to fight by now. Kudos to Barrett for actually giving a crap.
  8. There's a woman sitting near Pat and Ron that is either incredibly drunk or mentally [expletive].
  9. There's no way that's Theriot. He's still at the hotel in San Fran.
  10. They have direct deposit Ok, that made me laugh. I try.
  11. I certainly am glad that Pat and Ron are breaking down "The Gambler" for us.
  12. Why? Just because Ozzie played for the Sox doesn't mean that's the answer. Francona didn't bleed Red. McKeon might be an old dude but he didn't win because of his knowledge of South Florida history. Same with Brenly in Arizona. Saying the Cubs need a manager that understands Chicago and the history is absolutely ludicrous. I know the history -- we've sucked more or less for a century. Where do I sign? Send me a finder's fee and I'll see who i can talk to. Finder's fee? You're my bench coach. Sweet. I'm like a little Dick Pole.

  14. I couldn't care less if the next manager "knew" Chicago or what it was like to be a Cubs fan. I don't need a fan managing, I want to see a smart manager. But you need manager that understands this city and the Cubs history. You need someone with pride. Look no further to the south side and you have a manager that bleeds with Sox pride and instilled that into his players. I tell you what a manager that knows the Cubs history would've freaking went out to talk to Mark Prior after the bartman play that's for sure.... Yep. The Sox won last year because Ozzie knows Chicago. It had nothing to do with pitching, defense, or homeruns. Duh! You know what I'm talking about. Ozzie is their team leader. He gave that team attitude. And incredible starting pitching and power.
  15. I want some of whatever Ernie Banks is drinking
  16. I just start crying and then make them buy me beer. I should have thought of that. I killed mine. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  17. Sweet. The Binny's porno music commercial is here to make me feel better.

  19. Yeah but no matter what you need to get a hit. Either from Cedeno or ARAm. Dude, it's been mathetmatically proven that saccing lowers your chance of scoring runs. Actually, that's not completely true. While it is correct that sac bunts lower run expectancy in nearly all situations, there are a few situations where it's advisable and increases the odds you will score a run. That's why there's a positive correlation between sacrifices and run scoring. (Albeit a very, very small one.) Most managers know when sacrificing is a good idea and only employ the strategy when it's called for. Unfortunately for the Cubs, however, Dusty doesn't appear to be one of those managers. Ok, it's been mathematically proven that, except in certain situations that almost always involve a man on second and no outs, you shouldn't be bunting.
  20. Because if you haven't noticed we haven't been exactly scoring runs lately, so dusty has to try to get runs anyway you can. I have no problem with that play. They haven't been scoring runs partly because Dusty makes it harder to score by giving up runs. They've been pulling this crap throughout the whole slump, it's not going to make things different. Oh c'mon! You are blaming Dusty for the Cubs not scoring runs? I'm not the biggest Baker fan, but c'mon! We can't score runs because our guys can't get a hit when it counts. Someone give this man the link to the study that mathematically proved bunting a runner from first to second lowers your chance of scoring a run.
  21. Let's face it he's not a 3 hitter but we don't have one and you need to get runs anyway you can. Espically with the wind blowing in. Someone give this man the link to the study that mathematically proved bunting a runner from first to second lowers your chance of scoring a run.
  22. fantastic start! he saved the extra pitches it would've taken to walk him!
