Every time he opens his mouth something stupid comes out of it. I suppose, though, if you didn't count Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Reading, then yeah, MLS teams could compete. you forgot bolton, portsmouth, and newcastle (with a healthy owen) on that list. Also Everton. Well, pretty much everyone that doesn't get relegated at the end of the season. Mmmm, even those teams, mostly. The MLS would have been competitive with Watford this year. Maybe. I don't think all of the MLS teams would have been able to compete even in the Championship League in England. Sunderland is better than all of the MLS sides. I can think of about 12 different leagues that MLS is worse than, top to bottom. There are good individual players in MLS, sure, but the try and make the case Lalas is making is just silly. 12 leagues, eh? let's give it a shot: Premiership (England) Bundesliga (Germany) Serie A (Italy) Serie A (Brazil) La Liga (Spain) Ligue 1 (France) Primera Division (Argentina) Superliga (Portugal) Eredivisie (Netherlands) Primera Division (Mexico) Premier Super League (Turkey) I've got 11 that are head and shoulders above the MLS. And there's a ton of other leagues that have top teams that no MLS team could touch (SPL, Russia, Romania, Greece, CC Championship to name a few).
