  1. We actually probably want the Brewers to beat the Reds tonight. The division is over
  2. This team definitely looks the part of a team that could fully choke this thing away
  3. I never would have thought Boyd would pitch like this while the offense would go in the toilet again. Weird year.
  4. Holy smokes extending Hoyer early may be one of the bigger own goals in Cubs history
  5. I don’t understand Busch sticking in the leadoff spot. Just put Happ back there and see if that gets things going again.
  6. Somehow that wouldn’t be good enough with this current Cubs offense
  7. I was kind of joking when I thought the Brewers were going to run away from us in the division. Looks like they can pretty much wrap things up with a 3 out of 5 next week.
  8. its definitely possible in this national league.
  9. Yeah I don’t think it’s happening anymore. Need to focus on maintaining the wild card and trying to keep guys healthy.
  10. I wonder if we should just finally get it over with and put Ben Brown in the bullpen where he belongs.
  11. I guarantee Jed wouldn’t make the Chapman trade in 2016 but he also wouldn’t have made the Quintana trade either.
  12. I feel bad for Brett Taylor doing his blogothan thing with Soroka being the big move
  13. I will never fault someone for going for it. Plus every year the Padres find a new prospect in the top 10 it seems like
  14. Can we call this series the “Curse of the early Hoyer extension?”
  15. Pretty much 100 percent chance of a strikeout after missing the homer
  16. I don’t think we have ever hit him well. This smelled like a sweep after we didn’t knock out Miz in the first inning. The brewers just have so much more composure than we do. Of course there is no pressure on them since they are the permanent underdog
