    You all can thank my parents. This year in the games they have been going to, the team they want to win is something like 5-1. (Most of those are the Nationals, being that my parents live near DC, which makes it even more amazing).

    Actually, its the # of games left - the difference in the loss column of 2nd place team + 1. So 22 Games left, Brewers are 5 games back in the LC, 22-5 = 17. Add 1 to get 18. (17 would clinch a tie).

    Maybe you did your "photo shop" work to illustrate your points there, but if not... how can those be the Cubs' hits/outs when they are displayed as out in the field at that time? Easy. I went into gameday and on the drop down menu right above the image (where it says field controls) I turned on Home Hits/Home Outs...

    Thanks, Dave Bush. According to Mets radio, Church, um, admired that homer and strolled around the bases so slowly to the point that they said, "we don't think the Brewers will appreciate that." I watched it on MLB.tv, and he really didn't do anything more than any other hitter. He might have admired it for a second, but he didn't run all that slow.

    1-22? Ha! Like the Cobs are going to win a game. Seriously, lets put this game this way: The offense scored 7 runs on 15 hits with 8 BBs, with 4 homers and 3 doubles. Z went 5 on 86 pitches and gave up 3ER on 5 hits and 3 BB. The bullpen pitched 5 innings of 1 hit ball... Unfortunately those 5 innings came between Howry proving he is worthless and Wood running out of gas. I put this loss on Lou. There is no way in hell he should have used Howry there. Not with Wuertz, Guz, Lieber and Cotts available. At least with the other pitchers there is a chance of good things happening (as shown by Wuertz and Guz). With Howry, the outcome is obvious. Nobody was surprised at Howry sucking.

    We are talking about Geoff Blum here, right? The same guy who is batting .239 on the season with a .715 OPS? The key words were right now. Blum gets big hits, Lee, not so much. Lets get 3 and win this now. lol I was going to respond, but my head imploded.

    Its not so much losing that is pissing me off, its that they are losing due to stupidity, and are also looking like a team playing for nothing in September. Horrible approaches at the plate, piss-poor running of the bases, incredibly dumb managerial decisions, and fielding that seems to suddenly be disappearing. Makes me want to choke something.
