I just can’t bring myself to believe that the Cubs won’t be in on Harper and Machado. I mean, sure, there’s a strong possibility they get neither. But all these reports read like they’re not even going to really try. And afte the way the season ended, that would be flat out negligent.

It would really suck if the Cubs aren’t serious suitors for Harper. He sure seems like the prime example of the type of free agent that Theo has regularly talked about. But I guess if the money’s not there, it’s not there. On the other hand, I can already imagine the “Cubs just couldn’t pass up this opportunity” tweets/articles, if they do sign him.

Isn’t Mooney always doom and gloom? At least when it comes to player acquisitions l. I could be wrong, but every trade deadline/offseason, he always seems to throw cold water on everything.

For those who can’t watch/listen. Sek out the monologue that Kelly is talking about. There’s a lot to chew on. And you can really tell how frustrated Theo is with some aspects of this team/season.
