    Reading through the game thread and saw nobody answered, but the sent Alzolay down to MB. They didn’t want him to pitch anymore innings. He is actually in South Bend. Gonna be able to party with them possibly as soon as tomorrow night winning the league title

    Fortunately Whitley was a mess for the I Cubs, getting four runs off him Unfortunately Clifton was a dumpster fire for the I Cubs 10-4 Round Rock in the 8th. Nice surprise season took place in Des Moines this year. Will be kicking themselves for the blown leads in extras in games 1 & 2 in this series. However could be equally interesting to see what this roster, especially the rotation looks like next year

    Of course he’ll start against Felix. Joe has a hard on for throwing guys right into the fire coming off the IL or rehab stints. A pinch hit at bat or two against Major League guys would have been nice Unless he's turned it around recently, King Felix has been pretty lousy this year. He hasn’t and is still bad, but never underestimate the penchant this team has for making trash pitchers look like Cy Young contenders

    I get what you’re saying but doubt anyone in the clubhouse would react that way. They already were talking back mid-week how he likely wasn’t going to start yesterday or today vs LHP (they seem to prefer him hitting left handed from their comments). Maybe he isn’t fully ready yet, a little sore or dinged up and/or they/he feels he needs to work on a few things yet. I bet he starts vs King Felix tomorrow. Of course he’ll start against Felix.     Did Bryant go right away? Seemed like he was still running when Rizzo was, he just got to the base quicker because Rizzo is slow as horsefeathers. He had stopped at second anticipating the correct play, a throw to third, vs a throw to Almora in the on deck circle. He took off right away when he saw the stellar throw while Rizzo was in the midst of his primal scream
