  1. Damn, can't even get a start on his birthday
  2. Jeimer two run double. 10 rbis in 2 games
  3. Jeimer with a three run shot in the first
  4. Heading to the bottom of the 15th. 22 Ks for the South Bend staff and only 2 walks
  5. Trent Giambrone and Dan Spingola with first minor league homers of the year for MB in the third
  6. Damn PCL schedule and no early season visit to Omaha for Iowa this year. Maybe Theo and company go the Bryant route and keep him in the minors the whole year(I can hope). Looks like a little road trip to Des Moines to see him play.
  7. Bryant oppo field dong
  8. The fact that Max won in a runaway is a joke. Only three first place votes for Lester and Hendricks combined is a fail among the writers. Yes, max is very good, but it's insane for voters to make him appear to have year head and shoulders better than Jon and Kyle
  9. Brandon Crawford is a stud shortstop, but even without my bias blue colored glasses on I think Addy outplayed him all year. Fitting Crawford's lasting image for the year defensively, is air mailing the Hayward bunt double play ball into the stands in Game 4
  10. I'm there if the other Cub is Neifi Perez. Holding out hope for Tuffy Rhodes or Kevin Orie
  11. For $100 one can go downtown to the Standard Club and watch the game with Fergie Jenkins and Leon Durham and another unannounced Cub. Cash bar but food with ticket :flythew:
  12. I remember when UCLA came to Lincoln a couple of years ago and after watching the first two games walking away thinking Gerrit Cole has nothing on Trevor Bauer. And that was even after Cole went nine innings. Bauer's stuff exploded out of his hand it was amazing. My how times have changed as I sit here thinking he is going to get pummeled and has crap stuff
  13. And here I was about to post wishing Rizzo would just take the bunt hit the shift is giving him. Silly horsefeathering me
  14. I just hate the super overreactionary stuff. It's terrible and annoying when Ski and Rondon Fan do it in the regular season and it's annoying now. I get people are frustrated. I'm frustrated also. But the posts that are suggesting the ump is singlehandedly costing the Cubs the game are ridiculous and wrong. Just because the ump blows a call or two doesn't mean that he's the worst ump ever. And just because he blows one call doesn't mean he's blowing every close pitch. You can't tell what's a strike on the screen because of the angle. People have pointed out in previous games and in this one that FOX's zone on the screen sometimes sucks (like the one where the top of the zone was clearly below the batter's belt). Barely anyone has given Kluber any sort of credit for pitching a great game, which is what he's done. And barely anyone has acknowledged that Lester is a bit off tonight. The problem isn't balls being called strikes for Kluber. It's balls being called strikes for Kluber, and balls in the same spot not being called strikes for Lester. Which is something you can see on the screen. And a ton of people have given Kluber credit. And literally nobody has implied that the ump is singlehandedly costing the Cubs the game. This. So much this the majority of the thread is this post
  15. And down 3-0 in the sixth and Lester finally gets that call. FML
  16. Yes, hands down. It was the winner before the ending
  17. Tick tock tick tock tick tock........ Can't take it anymore, just start the dongfest already
  18. Lester would be on full rest, so More or less swap jake and Kyle Wonder how good Bauer's finger is healing. Francona said he'll play by ear between Bauer and Tomlin for games 2 and 3. Gripping a bat in game 3 can only feel awesome for Bauer
  19. Driving in from Nebraska. Staying until Monday
  20. Watching the replay and just now coming to the realization that the Cubs faced the minimum batters for the game. Two singles and a walk is all the pitchers gave only to retire them via the DP or pick off. If brought up earlier forgive me as I'm still coming down off a massive alcohol fueled euphoria
  21. My nine year old son just pulled a Rizzo autograph out of his pack of cards we picked up this AM. This is the sign I've been waiting for. We got this horsefeathers
  22. Speaking of the wind, it will be doing what tonight???
  23. Another long time lurker that finally got the kick to sign up. Anyways, Maeda is an ugly mug. He's like a puny little Chong Li from Bloodsport
