  1. Some speculate Kwiatkoski will compete at OLB. Has experience there in college and is a solid Blitzer. Also there's the fact Trevathan is always injured and could be cut, or at least play his last season as a Bear in 2018, that makes this a bit easier to understand. But it does feel like a reach to me.
  2. Yes, I'm a huge advocate on spending top half of draft picks on the o line regularly. Is this sarcasm?
  3. Wouldn't mind Pace getting aggressive and using one of our 4s and a pick from next year to go after a guy he likes.
  4. Might need to bench Russell and let him iron out his kinks. I'd like Zo to lead off vs RHP. I'd also swap Tony and Kyle, but I know that won't happen. I'd roll with Zo KB Kyle Javy Rizzo Willy Heyward Al
  5. Pace rolled the dice on Daniels anyway. I like it.
  6. Do you know what the injury concerns are with Daniels? I saw on Twitter that he fell due to injury. Teams think he has bad knees
  7. Start pulling the ball some, Addy. The middle of the field has not been too kind to you.
  8. Well to be honest when I looked this up a few days ago he was at a 375 wOBA. 350 is still nothing to scoff at.
  9. Jeimer, Flaherty, Soler, Villanueva, Lemahieu - all are raking in the early going
  10. Steve Stone thinks a hard sinking line drive to LF that bounced 2 feet in front of the left fielder and ricocheted off of his glove and came to a stop some 30 feet behind, should be called a double
  11. The best current example is Mike Trout, no? i would say mookie betts is closer but neither has quite the SB totals and both have more power (trout much moreso) I think Trout is capable of 40 steals annually but he's wary of the stress it puts on the legs and potential injuries. But yeah I would also say Betts is in that category. If those 2 played in the 80s they probably steal 50+ bags per year.
  12. https://www.fangraphs.com/tht/the-three-declines-of-sammy-sosa/ Dude had a 198 wRC+ before that AB with a tremendous BBK. It also mentions he had a 47 game stretch from June through July where he hit 22 bombs, so he certainly found his comfort zone again after the HBP, but he wasn't able to sustain consistency unfortunately. I'll always remember his bomb off of Urbina though. And we should have won game 1 dammit.
  13. Hoping Arizona comes calling and we can bend them over for their 2019 1st
  14. I thought I might start to regret Eloy if Kyle didn't get his groove back but that man is killing it again so whatever
  15. He is destroying RHP this season. He has fully arrived.
  16. KB got beaned. In the head? I'd definitely be throwing at Arenado if so after the horsefeathers they pulled against the Padres Hit the brim of his helmet
  17. Good horsefeathers Seal, now let's wreck these fucks
  18. In the Fringe Five, Amaya was listed among sleepers who have low K and GB rates, FWIW
  19. https://www.milb.com/milb/news/chicago-cubs-adbert-alzolay-aces-triple-a-debut/c-273133844 Video of a 3 pitch swinging K (a curve and 2 FB) and the HR allowed inside link. Cubs really want him to work on his change and he said it was on point last night in any count to any sided hitter.
  20. Zobrist to the DL per Mark Gonzalez
