  1. Lets go Pete he should play perfectly with your swing path
  2. Agreed on Mo, pretty much agree with the whole post. I expect Rojas to be a trump card in most conversations for a controlled pitcher. If we're willing to include him I don't see many of those bad teams being able to pass. As far as Mo goes, it sure does not seem like the Cubs expect his defense to be very playable. I'm expecting them to trade him.
  3. How in the world was that not an inside the park granny
  4. I love this time of year when nobody of significance has been traded yet and still people want to crucify the GM for sitting on their hands
  5. I would not trade him, id see what Amaya would fetch and give him the backup role now. He looks like a monster hitter.
  6. Was it last year or the year before where they played through similar circumstances? It's not likely to be contained for a while and they're not gonna just cancel a string of games. I imagine there will be a lot more empty seats though.
  7. My kids love the Madagascar movies and I think we should call him Melman
  8. Caleb won't play tomorrow. The 8 TOs tonight tarnish another solid game. Overall his SL stats were very good. Looks like it's going to be his team pretty soon. * I did not watch a second of SL
  9. A guy who has a 5.0 KBB and a 65% gb rate is like matrimony to the Cubs right now.
  10. I have always had a lot of faith in Shaw and he has improved. He's actually really good at 3B. I think he would provide a good amount of value at 3B defensively, but he won't get that chance. His bsr should be pretty good. But im not sold on the offense as the contact quality is still very mehhhhhh. I would prefer to trade him than Pedro as crazy as that sounds. I believe Pedro will have a pretty good career, I just feel his contact rates and contact quality will provide a stronger floor. Id prefer to trade Shaw, Alcantara, and maybe even Mo before Pedro. Is that crazy? Before this season I never would have put them in that order but Pedro showed out in AAA in a different way than those guys did; he had a really well-rounded approach and an enviable contact quality to match it.
  11. Good post, Tryp. I think Morejon would be a game-changer. Dude is filthy. Also a 64% GB rate is ridiculous
  12. I have McGwire above them but not much of a discernible difference.
  13. I think Rcal's point still stands. The trade could be more about Gordon and yes there is plenty of precedent of them turning afterthoughts into solid roster pieces. You are so triggered when people bring up this aspect of the Brewers roster construction. More often than not, they develop them into useful pieces. Im sure you felt the same way about the Vaughn trade, the Harrison trade, etc.
  14. Have you heard of Shane Drohan? Let me rephrase that: had you heard of Shane Drohan before this season?
  15. They should change the HRD to facing Trajekt machines and face the best pitches in the game. They can even super-impose that player's likeness over the machine. I think that would be pretty dope.
