The knock on Almora is that he wasn't a very good hitter in the minors, and hence the projection systems don't think he will do well offensively. His big flaw is that he is hard to walk. If he keeps hitting, pitchers will stop challenging him as much, hopefully he will be patient and take his walks. Speaking of patience, Heyward walked in all three of his plate appearances today. Not quite as nice as hitting home runs, but still a positive sign we might get pre-2016 Heyward. Strike zone recognition is important.
