  1. I can't wait to watch Fontenot not get a hit here. It's gonna be so awesome.
  2. Astros up 2-0 over the Cards in the 1st and are still in business. Ankiel just tried to gun a guy at home and threw it into the netting behind home. I laughed.
  3. What about the double that Lee robbed and the botched hit and run? It's amazing he only gave up 1 run. Given the choice, would you rather have Marquis or Gallagher out there tonight? Gallagher. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying he got some help that inning.
  4. What about the double that Lee robbed and the botched hit and run? It's amazing he only gave up 1 run.
  5. Okay watching this was a bad choice.
  6. I'm watching the 8th inning right now. The post-______-play walk just happened. I keep waiting for Dusty to go out and calm down Prior.
  7. They're out of options, so they get a free pass. But he just signed Edmonds. And I don't mind Johnson on the roster for LHP, but it seems stupid for me to say that Pie got booted for not producing when we have gotten no production whatsoever from center field against RHP.
  8. Supposedly Pie is at an all-time low in terms of confidence right now. Gee, I wonder why. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/cs-27-iowa-cubs-chicagomay27,1,6503324.story It also talks about Murton, Hill, and Marshall. I found this quote especially annoying- But it's okay for Johnson to be a black hole against RHP and for Edmonds to be a black hole against everybody? Then there's this- What about last year when Theriot was atrocious the entire gd season and he was never in danger of losing a job and was guaranteed a starting role this season even though Cedeno clearly earned it in spring training? Yes Theriot is earning his spot this year, but Hendry looks like a gigantic liar and hypocrite when he spews garbage like that. Basically, if you don't produce you're going to be held accountable.............unless you're one of Lou or Jim's boys. Also, why does Marquis still have a spot? I thought you weren't "playing jacks up here"? Okay, so, in order to keep a roster spot on this this team you have to either produce, get into the good graces of management (no production necessary if you meet this stipulation), or currently be signed to a moronic contract. Okay, that makes perfect sense.
  9. The Ramirez 9th inning home run in Colorado was the biggest "eff yeah" moment of the season still. Especially because we were on fire and that eventual win put us at 15-6. Not to mention it gave us win #10,000. Well, not technically. Theriot ended up getting the GW hit in the 10th.
  10. I'm starting to think the White Sox are the favorites in the Central right now. Detroit and Cleveland are an absolute mess right now. The Tigers pitching is pathetic and the Indians offense is non-existant. 85 wins could win that division, maybe less. I don't see Detroit or Cleveland turning it around anytime soon.
  11. I'm watching it, it's not really that depressing yet.....just kind of eerie. Also, there is one out in the top of the first and Thom Brennaman has already trashed the Cubs about 4 times since the pre-game.
  12. The same reason the Cubs give Daryle Ward the occasional start at first base, i.e. to give the everyday first baseman a day off? So it's mandatory for the first baseman to bat 5th?
  13. You should upload them, I'd love to see them. They had the highlights available on mlb.com for awhile but they don't work anymore.
  14. I was at game 4 and have it on tape too. That was the craziest experience of my life. Even though it was in Miami, after the game the stadium was SWARMING with Cubs fans, everybody just packed in the hallways going crazy, high fiving each other, singing, etc. It was insane..... a massive party of Cubs fans. At the time it felt like we had basically won the pennant. I'll never forget how electric that nght was.
  15. Does anybody know who Wood was waving to after the game?
