We've won 7 in a row and are 15 games over so it kind of seems obnoxious to complain, but a loss tonight would not be good. Considering we'll be playing on the road most of this month and people have been questioning our ability to win away from Wrigley it's not good to lose the first game of the road trip against a crappy pitcher on a crappy team with our ace on the mound.

Did anybody else hear the stupidity that just came out of Steve Phillips' mouth on ESPN during the Twins/Yankees game? In the top of the 8th with one out Jeter singled and tried to stretch it into a double and was thrown out. Abreu then grounded out to end the inning. So fast forward to the ninth inning when A-Rod leads off with a single, to which Phillips says this So apparently Arod singling in that AB was a predetermined outcome and would have happened even if Joe Nathan wasn't the one pitching to him and even if he was batting with a base open, 2 outs, and a tie game as opposed to leading off an inning trailing by one.

God the Astros' baserunning is brutal. I noticed it during the Cubs series and since then they just keep running into outs. If you get thrown out by Jason Kendall trying to steal 3rd base with Lance Berkman at the plate, it's time to go ahead and pack it in.

Actually it's 3-0.....the double cleared the bases. Is anybody watching it on mlb.tv? The video is doing all sorts of weird things. AFter every pitch they immediately rewind it an show it again. I have no idea what's doing on.
