this organization is so far from competing

but do they really think they're right? that's what i always wonder. like, do most bad people know they're bad?

So Mr. Let's Blow It Up And Start Over Yet Again, how do you propose we build a champion? Amass a bunch of draft picks and hope you hit the HOF lottery drafting the next Jordan/Kobe/Steph? Trade for younger guys you think could be superstars? You're certainly not going to get any quality FA's to come here anytime soon if you blow this roster up so quickly. i never said i have all the answers. i'm just saying that it's obvious to the basketball world outside of chicago that winning a title with this core is not going to happen. bulls fans are the only ones who have convinced themselves that it's possible. the only reason there is any hype is because of a ridiculously hot start where we won a bunch of close games against bad teams. i'm sick of hearing about injuries. the whole league was battered this year. we were mostly healthy down the stretch and we completely and totally folded. not even competitive. lonzo is a nice player, but he is not making that kind of difference. he's also hurt every year, so stop expecting him to play most of our games. this is a team that got outscored for the season, but we're already talking ourselves into believing that complementary changes and better health are going to vault us into contender status? i will root for this team next season and have fun with whatever wins they get. i also know that it's ultimately going nowhere.

i just think that building around demar and lavine is a fool's errand and the ceiling will be extremely limited. hopefully i'm wrong but i don't think anyone here actually believes we can win a title with those 2 guys as our stars either.

Lonzo means way more to the Bulls than Middleton does to the Bucks. What big changes do you propose? middleton is better than lonzo. the fact that the bulls are so thin that lonzo might "mean more" is not a credit to the team i already said i want to either blow it up or move one of zach/demar. this core is never getting remotely close to a championship.

at least the middleton injury means people won't whine about lonzo's absence being responsible for this disaster. hopefully the FO doesn't use it as an excuse either. we need big changes.

This will be the FO's narrative when they bring back the same squad it’s a good team if everyone is healthy and being on the same page as a competent coschbut the odds of that happening in any given season is low plus it might be good for like next season and maybe one more the brave thing to do is trade demar and let zach walk I think AK might do it tbh yeah, i want to trade demar and maybe just blow the whole thing up. i know that sounds reactionary, but i've felt that way for over a month now. at first 45-50 wins and playoffs sounded fun, but now i see how unsatisfying it is. a team built around demar and zach is a dead end.

let's be honest, nobody in this thread expected demar or zach to have a good game. demar has so little self-awareness when his shots aren't falling

the bulls can't afford another bad defender when they already have 2 awful ones starting in demar and zach. if a metric says vucevic is okay defensively, it is wrong. i don't think i ever believed in the empty stats thing until i saw vucevic play. you watch him play and it's just so obvious that he is not good.
