But that 3 year total is still pumped up by 2008. Look at his splits last year. They're almost identical. His LH splits aren't better than his RH splits. They're all high because of the career year, not because he started hitting lefties better than righties. If his overall numbers were at his normal career averages, his LH splits would have been also. His career splits are pretty even. Either way, it's not the point. I just don't see the point of taking Fontenot out of the lineup every few days so we can maybe get a .750 OPS in there. Where is the upside of that? I think there's more upside in letting Fontenot play every day and seeing what he can do. THAT has some real upside to it. LET HIM PLAY. I don't really know that that's true.
